Sweet Candy Kiss by Jax How sweet is this Your candy kiss Gives me time to reminisce All the old I've pushed away To a place where forgotten memories play And the one new memory to build upon Glides in the path of a golden swan Lighting the way for new memories to be made And darkening the path where past misery can fade Lead me to your paradise With skies as clear as arctic ice And pain knows not

While we tend to be traditionalists in many aspects of running our family, the concept of "children should be seen and not heard" is one that I firmly belives belongs back in the Puritan era and NOT in this day and age. ITA, Gideon. I much prefer my children to have opinions and to feel free to express them. I am appalled by your description

I am totally clueless this time around, and I have every intention of KEEPING it that way!! I'm beginning to think I just want to post my articles and stay away from most of the rest of the site, so as to not be tempted to get into the midst of this feud or that fight.....

17 It so happened that after Pharaoh released the people, God didn't lead them by the road through the land of the Philistines, which was the shortest route, for God thought, "If the people encounter war, they'll change their minds and go back to Egypt." 18 So God led the people on the wilderness road, looping around to the Red Sea. The Israelites left Egypt in military formation. <SUP id=en-MSG-

Exodus 8 Strike Two: Frogs 1 GOD said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and tell him, "GOD's Message: Release my people so they can worship me. 2 If you refuse to release them, I'm warning you, I'll hit the whole country with frogs. 3 The Nile will swarm with frogs--they'll come up into your houses, into your bedrooms and into your beds, into your servants' quarters, among

Snow Angel by Jayson Icicle lights are dancing in winter breezes, While the clouds shed flakes To start this post-autumn season. Wool mittens and over-coats Prevent the frost from biting But our fireplace kisses Keep us warmer, I've decided. And this holiday is special With more memories to build We can throw snow balls at one another In the middle of a field, As we sip on hot chocolate, And sha

Sure, there are more of us then there are of them, but they are pretty loud and we're rather lazy. That, Danny, is EXACTLY the problem. Too many of us don't want to get involved, because we think someone else will do it. We ALL need to stand up and make our voices heard...since we are the majority in this country, we need to start actin

As the mother of a 15 yr old daughter with ADHD who can still get good and loud without realizing it, I can sympathize with you. People like "Ann," who are unaware or who just don't understand, have to be taken with a grain of salt. I would have been upset with her remarks as well, and would probably have responded in much the same way. Her not allowing the grandchildren to come over to play with your children was THEIR loss. After all, they had to sp

If people really do think students should not be allowed to express their religious beliefs because people with different beliefs will be ridiculed, and if they're serious about not wanting children to be ridiculed, then they should do as this one school I heard about does and have every child wear a uniform, have children in cubicles, forbid them from talking to one an

We have a freedom of religion in this country. It means that we do not favor one religion over another and that we are free to pick whatever religion we choose even if that choice is to say no. Do you really trust schools to teach religion? They are not trained for it and you can never be sure which side of the spectrum they come from. T

ITA with IG....this isn't an issue where I would expect the ACLU to take exception to the ruling. Just as students are allowed to pray as individuals, or even in small groups, without school sponsorship, so are they allowed to pass out gifts to their fellow students which express their religious beliefs. If Jewish students wished to do the same for Hanukkah, or other students wanted to do the same for any of their religious celebrations, they would/should have the same right. It only becomes

Hey you! Where have you been, and how's tricks?! I took a sabbatical of sorts from online stuff, and concentrated on life around here. Things are WEIRD around here, but what else is new? I'll email ya sometime in the next few days and fill you in on the glorious details!! <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="

By the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing, so on the seventh day He rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it He rested from all the work of creating that He had done. Too many of us hold to the myth that fatigue is next to godliness. We act as though we believe that God wants us to work until we drop and that only when we drop can we take a break and recover. After our restoration we

Sounds like a great idea...we all need a little something to "recharge the batteries" now and again. Tell D that, in the long run, it will benefit him as well...and also the kids. A spiritually revived Dharma will be much better company for all of them!

True Love by Randy S. Poetry cannot express, How much I feel for you, But once again I'm using it, To convey my love for you. Simple words cannot come close, To the love between you and me, But take a look into my eyes, And surely there you'll see. This heart is filled with love for you, And in between each beat, It yearns and aches, and just can't wait, To sweep you off your feet. I

Then he blessed Joseph and said "May the God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has been my shepherd all my life to this day, the Angel who has delivered me from all harm--may He bless these boys. May they be called by my name and the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac, and may they increase greatly upon the earth." Author: Beth Donigan Seversen Final words intrigue me. Especially those of men and women of faith. At first, I viewed Jacob's wo
