1. Money is spent on social production wether or not you have anything to produce (and the same amount of money either way). This makes so little sense they are changing it. Well, I wonder what you would have said on GC1: you were spending money on military and social even with empty build queues. <br/
Peace Phoenix
Well, the bonus pack was a 1.0D patch You should try download and install it. If it works, you may try to update to the latest version with SDC.
How did you get your patch? BTW, all patchs available from Stardock are in english. So if the patch works, you may end with a mixed english/german version.
There seems to be alot of effort in making the game better "game-wise" but I cant see any information if the 1.1 patch will fix all the random CTD. For me this is the most impoerten aspect to be fixed. Well, a random CTD is something hard to reproduce, especially when noboby posts about it. Could you post
Well, I guess a window mode isn't annoying as long the window displays more than 1024*768 pixels, which is the minimum resolution for GC2.
A possible alternative may be to download the complete game (US version) via Stardock Central with the serial key(s) that come(s) with the German version (the CE came with two codes). I don't know if that will work, though (but it probably will). It should work. BTW, updating german version willl give you a mixed english/german version, d
Could you post your debug.err file? BTW, GC2 support any resolution greater than 1024*768
The Beta will be on Stardock Central so you'll need to grab that if you haven't already from the Downloads section Well, you are thinking that "that" refers to the beta. But "that" was referring to Stardock Central, the only way to download the beta <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Wink
Make it possible to resize a componenty using the slider after it has been placed. This would make it much easier to get just the right ballance between size of different parts. This would be even better if you could select several spaceship components at the same time and resize them all (so ctrl+click to select more components and then use the slider to increase/de
Are you sure it is version 1.1 ? I don't see it on SDC.
Do you have the "show pre-release version" or something similar on? You need it to be able to download the beta.
#35 Derekroth. Yes thats the idea the beta patch tests it for those users who like to break their games seriously its to get a broad test to see if the changes they made have impacts beyond what they intended. If you don't like your game crashing or it expereincing unexpected quirkiness then stay away from most betas. <
Putting factories on them is also a waste as you cannot put enough of them on the planet to ever produce even constructors very quickly.[/quote ] Making research centers isn't a bad idea but it takes forever to build the labs in the first place and even longer to upgrade them after they are built. <br/
I don't think you will need another sig file: the activation is required only once
I need to know if the beta will be just like regular update for the game so I can install it and not have to have 2 gaems on my harddrive :/ Also will I be able to submitt games I played in beta to metaverse? The beta will work like regular update on SDC: you will donwload only the new files. But you need t
Here is a question though - will Stardock Central still work if a meteor takes out the company of Stardock? I don't think that Stardock Central needs to connect to Stardock Servers to restore an archive. But it may be required if you got the activation message when launching the game.
Have you tried Stardock Central as a way to get the updates?
Well, I fear that it will be like GC1, unless you want to play a mixed version. But I don't know.
I forget what it was, but I got or built something that increased my overall sensor range to about 15 parsecs. It is "Eyes of the Universe" Now the game won't let me build anything with longer range than that. I built a l
I am not sure if this is an intentional game ability or simply a mistake. If you have very high deplomacy, you can trade money for money and send less than you get. Several things are affected by this though. First they must like you. (warm or close works best) You must also be alligned fairly close to the race in question. (IE..
Homeworld 2 was the best 3d space game I have ever played, you have a long way to go, but keep up the good work. BTW, GC 2 isn't a 3d space game. It is a 4x space game with 3d rendering
As for the configuration of my computer - its really none of your business what I have - the best I can say is that its an AMD FX 60 with Dual SLI - 7800 GTX's with the DX 9.0c and I have 2g of Corsair PC4400 C2. The rest is as sweet as apple pie. Well, posting the debug.err file could really help to under
but then what is the point of archiving it? well, it can be used to have backup before updating the game. Sometimes updates can introduce nastier bugs.
hidden gems like this in the game Well, the ring bonus is a research planetary bonus that is listed when you go to the details of a planet
The other tough question is whether your base social production should get bonuses and all that good stuff and then have that magnified amount be transferred over to your military. Again, after playing it for awhile, it just seemed incredibly cheesy that a player could see their ships get cranked out really fast because they had
