You don't see the need? Ähm sorry stategie and tactics are based on to do the right thing in the right moment only to take out the easyest targed is nothing and don't will let you win normaly you can destroy the dangerest target because the athers will not harm you. You think reatreat is not tactic or statrgical? lol this is also the essence of battel reatreat in the
Peace Phoenix
and i hope for the future that STARDOCK will impliment the possibillity to choice battletactic's before the fight beginns or better to act in the battle self that you can retreat holt possision or even crash into the enemie ship... Well, I don't really see the point of changing default battle tactics. Since the only thing you can do is doing damage,
Now get a nice long rest! Well, not too long: there is a bonus pack planned for february 21 and a demo for the beginning of mars.
Well, I think it is something like 10$, but it is possible that you need to pay custom tax. BTW, have you looked at the following thread? https://www.galciv2.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=162&AID=99646 and https://www.galciv2.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=162&AID=99516
What did Brad mean by his comment that SEV and GalCiv2 appeal to different players? They are both TBS 4X Space Games. Well, unless I ma mistaken, but from various posts on the topic, I have understood that: - Galciv is oriented toward single player, allowing a strong AI - Space Empire is oriented toward multiplayer since only human can make
Why would you not also put fast engines on them as well?! Well, the sensor unit shouldn't be on the front line. on a 4x4 map, a sensor unit with 43 sensor range reveal nearly all FOW. So it is better to increase the sensor to be able to see in deep enemy space while being safely in your space <img src="smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="ab
Captured Trade Goods Show Up in Old Owner's List (GalCiv2 0.80a[b].002) I captured a planet of the Drath which had the following trade goods: Aphrodisiac Micro Repair Bots Ultra Spices However, when I speak to them these trade goods show up as theirs. Not sure if it is really a bug as I think it was the same behavior in GC 1. Basic
Well, you can build a ship with only sensors in it. Very useful. And with researching miniaturizatoin tech and other sensor techs, you will be able to create ship with a longer sensor range.
but anyway i wait till the new and mucj more betterone will be arived. Well, if you have register the game on stardock server, you should be able to do serial lookup on the e-mail adress associated with GC1 serial ID. If you have registred a metaverse player for GC1, you should see it here https://www.galciv1.com/playerreg.asp
Could you please browse other threads that have "demo" in their subject?
I think the answer is : no. Look in other threads that spoke about demo.
How does this sound to you? It sounds fair to me. And is it fair to the developpers who need to code such thing, test it and teach the AI how to react to it. And what happen if very few people are using this feature?
Something similar could also be done for things like super novas, terror stars and other catstrophic events. You don't want your stars go nova? No problemo. Just disable it. You want them to do so? Also no problem. Just set the frequency and the sevirity of the events. And now tell me, how could it bother ANYONE to have these things as an OPTION? </TABLE
This thread https://www.galciv2.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=164&AID=88141 explains some issues about distances in GC2.
Well, you could order the electronic only version of the game. You will only have to pay 45$. But you need a good internet connexion.
Well, given the fact that lots of thing will have changed , you may expect that the files that haven't been modified between Beta 5 and the release may not be large files or very numerous. So if you are bound to download nearly everything, doing a clean install could be nice BTW, that would prevent any strangeness on files that may have been modified in the same timeframe for the latest updates of beta 5 and the variou
Ditto. I used to have a perfectly fine version of beta till I made the mistake of updating today. Well, it is always useful to auto-archive on application update.
What version did you tried to download? BTW, people that haven't access to the gamma shouldn't try do donwload the GC2. And you don't need the "show prerelease version" checkbox to get beta 5.
And there are disasters in GC2, The influence shrinking event for example. It is very nasty for your influence zone.
Where do you live?
But since Peace Phoenix is a gammatester he might know how it works. Well, I haven't really tested this point. But when the UP is held, the influence pool of all races is set to 0 and influence borders don't really move
Well, the way I understand it is: Each turn, your planets are producing influence. It is used for 2 things: defining your influence zone and giving you influence points. The pool on earned influence points hasn't any effect on your influence zone. So you can traed it safely it without any impact on your influence zone.
Unless I'm badly mistaken, GalCiv hasn't been around nearly so long. Well, it is the case for Galciv on Windows platform. But originally, Galciv was an OS/2 game in 1994. And if I have correctly understood the differences between Space Empire 5 and GC II, it boils down to: SEV : big multiplayer experience GCII : big single player
You home world produces 15 food and caps at 15 billion without a farm. New colonies produce 3 food and the population caps at 3 billion if you have not built a farm Don't forget that these numbers are from the beta (december build) and may be subject to change since lots of people have been complaining about the problems to keep a class 10 homeworld
In order to be shown as a pruchased software, you need to have registered in SDC a valid GC2 serial ID.
