Well, unless I am mistaken but the latest multimedia download is supposed to work with the lastest gamma.
Peace Phoenix
BTW, looking at this thread http://tgnforums.stardock.com/?ForumID=322&AID=99001, it seems that the pricing structure will change.
For $40 i can get 5 tokens. 4 tokens needed for galciv1 but 2 for the expansion. I will need 7 tokens and well have to spend $60. Thats $10 more than just buying them with out tokens. GC1: 40 $ or 4 token AP: 20 $ or 2 token 10 token + TGN account : 65$ So you can either spend 60$ or 65$ and get 4 token left . But when you will p
WHY!!!!!!!!!!! I made so many accounts on hotmail I dont know which one has it............ man!!!! Havent used the ones that might be it for a year. They are how can I say shut down I belive so Im out of luck Yes, it looks like that way. Unless you have registered a metaverse player for GC 1. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center b
If I remember correctly, there is a maximum of 31 modules than can be installed on a starbase in GC2. But there a drastic UP law that can reduce it a lot.
Well I did inter it in star dock but what I meant by HD messup is that my intire HD froze and I had to reinstall all my stuff. I reinstalled Star dock but when installing where you inter the code if you have it was not there. Before my crash it showed when installing Star dock but sad for me no trace was found on my HD that i had the game so it did give me my code. I got 3
Yes, but the number of modules on a starbase is limited, while you have 3 kind of defense and 3 kinds of attack. So the number of available miltary module is very important in regard to mining or culture modules.
Since ships attack the highest threat but most easily destroyed target first, would it be safe to say the fighters would be my cannon fodder giving my capitol ships ample time to attack? Surely. I haven't tried it but it should work that way.
Well, given the fact that there will be movies, tutorials and multimedia, it might be wiser to do a complete uninstall to avoid to download 2 times the huges packs.
Maybe you should wait a bit until you have played GC II and see how the battles work. You will see then if your idea is working or not. Watching fleet battle is very instructive to understand how battle are resolved. And don't forget that if you have an attack of 9, it means that a random number will be drawn between 1 and 9, and the defenser will roll random(s) number(s) to defend against the attack.
I got galciv1 but lost the key it came in with and my HD messed up and now I only have the demo of it. SO if I cant run the game ill just have to buy them all over again If you haven't registred you serial id on a stardock server (like putting it in Stardock Central to update the game, or registering a player in the metaverse), your out of luck.<br/
The finished product may or may not have this but if not a feature that would be useful would be some icon or signal on the starbases to indicate they are still subject to upgrade. I guess that should apply only for modules not related with starabase attack or defense: you surely want to know when you can mine more ressources, build more cultural mod
Just wondering, if I have a planet with a manufacturing bonus tile and I build the manufacturing capital on the tile does the tile bonus multiply the capital bonus? No. The tile bonus affect only the outcome produced by the improvement build on it. But special project like Manufacturing capital doesn't produce directly outcome : they improve t
I fear your spec are too low: I think that at least a 32 Mb card is required, compatible with directX 9c, and I fear 1.2 Gb may be a liitle short since everything need to be installed on the HD. BTW, look at the sticky thread on the manual : the config is explained in the manual
Well, to download the game, you need a valid serial ID. After you have received the Cd of the game with the serial id, you will be able to doa that. And currently there is only the english version.
i thought it would be cool ships just paired off and engaged eachother randomly Perharps, but not efficient. And with those kind of rules, the bigger ship will always win. Not very well balanced. More, the goal is to destroy the ennemy. And it is more efficient to concentrate all fire on a specific target.
Well, the movies are supposed to work with the gamma. You should be better uninstall the movies.
Well, maybe lots of people are trying to download things related to Object Desktop, who knows. But I hope Stardock will be able to increase bandwith for the day of Galciv II release.
Be wary about alignement: it is very tricky and has generated lots of threads in GC 1 and on this forum. BTW, don't forget that good doesn't equate peaceful, especially when there are crusade.
However, I read somewhere that small ships get to fire first Well, the attacker shot first. In the various dev posts and stories by beta testers I have rarely seen a bigger ship than a light cruiser, most of the shi
So really it does not matter if you factor in shields or not I am not speaking of tech level, I am speaking of the fact that the ship is protected by defense. What happen when all shield generators are disabled?
Well, Stardock Central has an archive/restore feature. You just need to use SDC, make an archive, burn the archive with SDC, then install SDC on a another computer and restore the archive. And be aware that GC1 had updates for at least 2 years (for bug fixes and the year of free expansions)
My point is exactly that, all things even 4 fighters in my mind should not be able to take out a dreadnaught Well, generally, in various SF universe, if you haven't any shield, you won't survive to lots of hits made against you.
. If I had a fleet of capital ships vs. a fleet of fighters the fighters could take out 1 capital ship per trun (theoretically) and my capital ship fleet could only take out one fighter per turn (which I guess it would do... hopefully so). Well there are 2 differents things: - for a given ship, when if fires, it fires all its weapon against the
The point was that after a fight you will never be left with a crippled fleet Sure. But what will be left in the fleet ? the rest were damaged before </TR
