Ok this shouldnt be a major problem so I imagine that someone will be able to help me.....while I was editing and opening files on my computer I right clicked on a file to do the open with command...when i ed the program I wanted to open the file with I forgot to de the open this type of file with this program everytime box..how to I get it so that the file doesnt open with that program...i want it to be neutral..thanx

Hi, when I make my own bootskins...using paint shop pro 8...4 bit 16 colors..they don't seem to look the same when I boot up my computer..the colors are changing. Is there a program I can use to see what they will look like when i boot up so i don't have this problem...also sometimes the images are decreased from 24 colors to 16..would this have anything to do with the problem?? thanx

OK...here we go...i opened the file C:\Program Files\Stardock\LogonStudio\logonstudio.ini..(might be different on your computer)..i was just looking for a way to get my logon skins to show the "please wait while windows shuts down" messages, i havent been able to get them to show up since i installed logonstudio...so when i opened this file and saw those blank message areas i thought that it might be for those particular messages..maybe i had to fill them in or something....this message goes wit

i am in the folder where logonstudio installs. it is the notepad file called "logonstudio" it is a configuration file. when opened i see those msg1-12 things and have no idea what they are for. hope this helps

When i open this file it shows a section with the title [messages]....and under that it has msg1-msg12 all of which have a value of 0(zero)....what are these for..im just curious..thanx

i did do that preview thing and it looked fine..however when i applied it and restarted my computer it look different...so i dont kno what is wrong with my computer but it is obviously f'd up...ill prolly just uninstll bootskins i dont really restart often enough to see it neway..thanx

i checked my display properties..all is well....my driver is the newest one available....idk what u r taling about when u say something in the background making my colors seem correct....idk of nething that could do that..how could something on my hard drive be effecting my screen appearance...i have Logonstudio and windowblinds however i dont see them causeing the problem...I will search my computer and see which ones caused the problem and will update a new post with the links

Here is my problem...every BootSkin I set my computer to use comes out looking horribly wrong. Even if it is a skin I got from this site. The colors are just wrong, blue looks alomst like a grey. is there something I have to set in the BootSkins program to fix this, and if not what program do I need to get to edit them so they look right. **Windows XP home SP1 nvidia FX 5200 set to 1024 * 768 at 32 colors

im having the same problem....i download the logons..from this website...into my logon directory....then i double click them and logon studio starts and then im stuck trying to figure it out and i get no where....u make it sound so simple how do i install a logon?
