Yes, there are three logistics techs. The first comes from industrial theory, then base logistics. I don't know about the others because I never bother with them. Never build starbases at all.

I think Dark Rain's program allows for ship creation pics. I haven't looked at it much, but it sounds interesting.

It seems that the games earlier than June 2003 do not count anymore, because the blocks end at 270 days. Best as we can tell, they drop off at that date. For another example, check Ray the Wanderer's profile, or Arcilite's profile.

Well, the reason behind the empire wide scaling is so that this game doesn't get you bogged down with micromanagement. If I want that, I'll go play CivIII again. Keeping it a bigger level lets you focus on killing everyone else that is sentient, not economics.

That's annoying to hear. It is probably something like one of those that attack a address book and send from that. Check those people first. I'm clear, not in an address book, and a virus scanner top of the line and up to date. If it isn't anyone with you address, the possibities abound. :notsure:

Ok, thanks BoogieBac. I guess I was just confused on the role. I kinda assumed that we were the president, but now that I think of it, that makes sense. And I am glad I will be able to make our own canidates. Look forward to it and the other add-ons.

The VP idea sounds really good, as long as you get to move him around. Also, I think that the effectiveness of the campaign should not rest on the President. If anyone running for office ran their own campaigns, they would never get off the ground. The guy that runs a campaign is the Campaign Manager, the canidate is just his pawn. The candiate is what attracts the people, but the effectiveness of what he says should rely upon a Campaign Ma

I never build military anymore. I use bribes to keep the AIs at bay, a good 20BC bribe over a good many months will keep them away. More to keep stronger AIs away. I have also found that it works best keeping them at neutral at minimum, and when it drops below, use the bribe to raise it up. I never get in wars except those stupid "We shot the President" thing. Then reload.

We all post a bit of info about our games in the Diplomats, but only Peace here can keep track of a full run. Besides, I have a pattern, and I just follow it. Not too much to brag about, but I make comments about interesting stuff.

Those shouldn't do anything. Nothing extreme about them. What are the bonuses given to that? Anything extreme or in large quantities? Also, how much money did you have in the games you completed with sucessful scores? Was it the same, or did you do better with your cash in this game?
