Depending how much you've done in the game you can still pull a few thousand out of a loss, but not much. One note about Defeats and retirements as it pertains to the metaverse. There is a medal called a purple heart you get for posting five defeats. You can only get it by posting actual losses you played through to the end, retiring doesn't count toward getting the PH medal.

Great Article and I agree. This is one fun game that can suck up many hours of your life. I only have about 27 hours into it so far. Just opened up the second half of the map and, Damn! I'm going to be playing this a while :) .

I still come by almost daily but there is little about GalCiv to speak on anymore, so most of the boards seems to be going to Impulse or random BS. I am glad to see a few newer players popping up asking questions, somewhat making it look like the GC2 forum again. Even if some of the questions are ones that had been answered in the past. Can't fault the peeps though with the search being Fubared, but I just can't always get up the gumption to repeat the same answers I've given in the past.

Sounds like your just playing it straight, colonizing, teching up, and winning. Exactly as the game was meant to be played :) . But for scoremonger, it works quite different. In most cases you have the game won within the first year or year and a half. Meaning you have one opponent left with one planet. From there you just spend the next few years building score. There is a few various ways to buiild score but it almost always involves having a massive military rating(in the millions)

I think Stewie is hilarious, but I don't watch it anymore. It became obvious after awhile that the writers had to use the "Just like that time" thing repeatedly because they couldn't seem to write jokes to fit in the context of the story. Cartman was actually telling the truth in the SP episode where he is trying to destroy Family Guy. That's also a major difference between the shows. SP's creators are trying to make a point with their comedy most of the time whether you agree with it or not,

There isn't really set guide, but maybe these couple of things can help you out some. Not sure if you've been to the wiki yet, but it has a lot of good info. Abeit some of it is a littel outdated, but still usefull nonetheless. Also since the search is useless here a good thing to do is use forums.galciv2.com as the critieria to search with your favorite s

It's premeditated mental cruelty against a child. The thing is the intent. Obviously from the names of their other children they are brazenly stating that intent. An intent which leads to anguish and suffering of the child, while promoting hate and criminal activity. It would seem if the parents are so brash about their beliefs there should be plenty of history for a child services attorney to gather and prove them unfit. Hell, a good samaritan viglante should solve the problem and sa

I've noticed this as well. For me it is trying to jump a fleet containing a capital and some frigates. If the Cap is the highlighted leader of the fleet, it will be the only one to heed the jump order. If I switch the highlight to one of the frigates then they will all jump as should be. This has been consistent for me so far through two of the races.

Way to go [e digicons][/e] . Probably see Demigod on that list next year :) . I think EA tapped into the female demographic hugely with the Sims. In fact, the only ones I know that play it are female. I still have the Original Sims(Yea, I bought into the hype at the time ;) ). Biggest waste of money, only ever got about two hours out of it before I realized I was doing the things in it I play games to avoid doing [e digicons][/e]
I went back and looked at it, and yeah, the Stardog just hadn't been in the Red Wings theme like it was supposed to be. I hope that nobody else was able to see it while I wasn't.
Ahh that's what happened. I gave up after going to the Red Wings and then searching through all the nhl themes.

If a 300W came with your PC, you most likely have quite outdated hardware. I just upgraded from five year old hardware and even then the old PSU was 450W(now 1000W :) ) Basically a Gfx card may not solve many problems if your going to have bottlenecks everywhere else.
Can I be the first in line not to use it?
You might not be the first. From the first time I saw a browser created by the biggest online advertising company I was suspicious and have stayed well away from it :)

Not sure if they fixed it in TA(Hadn't built an array in it yet), but fleets would not show the correct values of their attack/defense boosts just by selecting them on the main screen. If you go into the fleet details/management screen though the correct boosted values would show up. That broken search keeps luring people in. Need to just get rid of it since it doesn't work at all and put a sticky up on how to search from outside sources.
