Good ideas Bill. I'll second all of them. I've been trying to think what would improve the site and realized I like it a lot just the way it is. I'd say don't change it too much... I would like an easy way to look up a member's profile. Right now you can only look up skin authors so someone that hasn''t posted a skin can't be searched for. So... my vote would be for a 'members list' search.

48x48 or 50x50 for the 'personal icons', they're usually in a .gif format. For a standard link button 88x31 is accepted and it can be either .gif or .jpg, just try to keep the filesize down as small as you can.

A moment of silence for one of our friends... in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

It's a very sad day for the community as it has been announced that dredwork (James Quick) passed away on Thursday, the 21st. He was very active in the community, most of his activity being at deviant art, LOS and deskmod. He was considered a very helpful and friendly guy by all who knew him and his loss will be felt by all. The sadest part is he was only 17 years old. I know how you feel adni, it's a cowardly way to dig at someone and has nothing to do with the merits of your work. When the Jriver site put a ratings system up someone went through and put 1's on most of my skins there. It really hurt my feelings that someone felt so bad towards me. It's really cool that Steve Moss got featured in the article. Waytogo Steve! It focuses mostly on Winamp. The only beef I've got with it is they used such terrible examples of skins. Only Steve's Steel this Amp is shown, not any of his other masterpieces like Major Tom or Nemesis or eIndia, instead they show some dreadful photo skins (even a Britny Spears!) Overall though, it's another good example of the mainstream attention our obsession is getting.

Every skin in the library, no matter how many comments are listed, just says "no comments yet" and indeed, has no comments. That's true here and at GUIolympics. I hope that means it's just the janitor sweeping out the debris and he'll put the comments all back when he's done... ??

cool, I always wondered why... I'd usually create it in Corel and give them an autocad or a plotter file but I know the critical part was to make all the shapes complete. No groups or text just paths and every element had to be a single outline with any voids combined or they couldn't use it.
