If you don't have the "auto launch ship" box checked you manually launch the colony ship and can specify the number of colonists. As little as 1 million. :)
Evil Druid
Are you serious. You would consider this a recruitment thread. It just to tell members who already belong to visit us in the claw. The do not read unless your a guardian is your 1st clue. The automatic coversion machine is a joke. Believe it or not it does not actually work or you would be a guardian yourself now. The idea was to let new members who might not know about the claw know about it. Not to get new members. [Message Edited]
Got another one with the old don't read trick hey Weyr. No wonder your still our number one recruitment officer. :D
Does not look like there is any original thinking here. Even the social projects are using the exact galciv names in the screen shots I looked at. They were even listed in my normal build order [Message Edited]
To many pirates and then they have to split the plunder to many ways. Pirates tend to take care of thier own over poplulation problems. :)
Moosehead beer. Its got bite. :d
John Greenwood last month 3 pirates posted games and your one of them. You know your always welcome to post in the Guardians thread. You don't have to be a member. As you say the chatting is at least half the fun. So feel free to have fun in our forum. :D
Well I’m glad the air has been cleared. I now suggest a Guardian cleansing ceremony to take away the old wounds. This is where one drinks the ceremonial beer in the CSF crypt until one passes out. Then one awaits the holy ceremonial Moose to come a snacking. In this way one forgets the old wounds as he has many new wounds to deal with. :D [Message Edited]
Matthew you cannot be to successful. I loved the glory days of the Guardians when you had to read the posts 3 times a day just keep up. It was funny, entertaining and sometimes even brilliant. I hope you can recapture it in your new venture.

System lords has got my vote. Maybe people could but there old empire in brackets in there name if they want. Everyone but tech that is, because that would be just to dam long. :p ;) LOL :D LOL
[quote]The System Lords ?[/quote] Like it :)
Actually our active membership is down to. We becomming an old empire fast.
I would but I want you guys to have a bit of challenge to get to 1st. ;)
U.E.M. United Empires of the Metaverse.
double click the rally point and it brings up a menu. Click the disband button in that window I'll give you some more advise. Click the planet menu on the bottom so the planets are on the right hand side. click sort by rally point on that menu and then you can change rally points really easy. Saves lots of time and it took me a long time to discover that so I'll tell you up front. :D
John Greenwood you son of a pirate. ;) How dare you recruit here when the Guardians our obviously the best, most active empire, you don't see us posting here telling prospective members about how wonderful our group is. We wouldn’t even mention that we our number 1 overall and hold 3 of the top 5 spots. We refuse to tell prospective members here, that we have valuable strategy guides available to our members. No we are above all that kind of thing. ;)
There scores don't get recalc unless they have played over a year is what I thought was determined. I don't see how adding a sort option would change the meta mid stream. I just want a filter in the data base so people can just look at active players and scores if they wish. No change in offical standing, medals or anything else. Just would like to be able to look at active player and empire scores excluding inactive players if I so wish. An option on the sort menu is all. I think techs
Oh, your right. I agree with you then, but I want at least the option to sort the inactives out of everything. Empires the player lists, total scores, everything. Who care how many players an empire had a year ago.
I think tech was meaning remove them from the meta all together not just the empire. Clean the dead wood out of the lists so active players can see and compete against active players. .
I like number 2. My idea was to designate active and inactive and have option to filter out the inactives when you sort. Why would you want to limit number of active players in an empire.
Come on Tech don’t be shy. That whole incarceration thing did help free a lot of GalCiv playing time for you. ;p
There is so much dead wood on the lists it really is not that difficult for a player to move up. My original, ultimate goal was to reach page 2 and doubted I would ever do that. Only took a few months to get there. Also when I joined the Guardians they had a very small membership and I think about 5th in the standings. Now a few months later it appears our first place lead is insurmountable. I'm sure past 1st place empires look as strong as us at some point. I think they should have an
The best site to figure out the tech tree is JavaScouts. http://webpages.charter.net/trevorpowdrell/ I would have given up on the tech tree if I had not used this when I was starting. :) You can figure out what techs you need to get anything you want with a few clicks of a mouse. (goverments fall under the communication research tree) [Message Edited]
I think its just a percentage. It also depends on your status with the AI I find. If your status is close you'll strike a better deal then if your at wary.
