Hehe, I think I meant that the small amounts bring it down to the personal scale. There's somewhere between 7,000 & 8,000 grains of rice in a cup. I've done the maths a couple of different ways, using a couple of different approaches, including using the average weight of a cup of rice, and both times the outcome is approx the same. There are in the region of 2.5 million grains of long grained white rice per 50Kg sack. Choose your figures from where you will, one report state

Very appealing John, nicely executed
Added a few more grains to the sack ...... Edit: This is one of those weird things, where it's hard to feel good about anything .... it's just that once on the site, you're left with the option of making a very small effort for a very small gain, or moving on without bothering to contribute. There is something very in your face about dealing with such small amounts.
Nothing at all wrong with that - it's a great entry, thanks for joining in Anne Marie . I'll use this post to remind anyone else who'd like to be entered into the prize draw, you have 2 days left to post your entry. The cut off time for posting is 12:00hrs GMT (midday), on Wednesday 31st October. If you're stuck for ideas, I can hardly believe after 2 years of Aer
While the onfield play didn't perhaps meet expectation, there was entertainment to be had watching history being made at Wembley yesterday. The New York Giants taking on the struggling Miami Dolphins, who were playing as the home team in this rain soaked stadium. The pitch, no - not a field you guys, that's what a cow stands in - the pitch, still new and prone to cutting up, challenged the natural playing style of the two visitors, resulting in a game that would I'm sure, have seemed
I dont know if I'd quite call it "impressive" but thanks for the compliment! Where is everyone elses pics?? I guess I could win it by default..but what's the fun in that??!!
Xiandi, Your entry was absolutely in the spirit of the thread. I saw how enthusiastically you entered into the
It's coming up to the big night, so I'm making this one last push. We've already had the pleasure of supporting a couple of Master Skinners through the first competition. We'd love to see if we can add one more. If you've taken a look and have something in mind but don't know how to post, I can help with that. Just ask here or PM me. If you think you can't draw at all but have a young'un that knows he/she can. Then let them do the drawing, scan it into your pc, a

Here's a quicky to set an example. I can't think of a clever title, so I've gone for something slightly spooky and called it:- "Something Winky, this way comes"

Congratulations to those who have cracked AVMAN's cunning puzzle. As soon as I get the names of the winners and all the details necessary to have the prizes registered to your respective accounts, you'll receive the prizes of your choice. At the moment we're still waiting for the final winner, so you have a little time to look around at the skins on offer. Now because this is a Community effort, you are not limited to Premium Suites, you are welcome to choose from the Master Skins ava
FWIW I always go to Toshiba with laptops. It's the only hardware I ever buy from PCWorld. I know the earlier Satellite models were prone to overheating because the design exacerbated dust build up. That said, a 3rd party guide to cleaning the heatsink was soon available on line and easily managed. Besides which, Toshiba wised up pretty quickly and improved their designs. We have 3 in the family, not one has had to go back to the shop for any reason and barring some new information, m
Cheers Po'. I wasn't going to add any more because this thread should really be about you, but I better speak to this generous quote:-
I would definitely nominate him for a promotion, not just for his assist on this, but because he is just very supportive overall to everyone and the community. You know you're more than welcome Po'dude. I didn't have to sell them, just keep communications open. FAH have also given Po' a nice written credit on their 'About' page, in the Logo section. Professor Vijay Pande the Director of Folding at Home was keen from the moment he saw Po's icons and made it easy to keep up with the development of the new version. FAH is going from strength to strength. Whether it's harnessing the power of the PlayStation market, or the refreshing
Then, unless you want me to edit anything over on the repost of the icons. I think my work here is done. Just PM if there's anything else you think of.
Congrats Red - I can just about live with it ......... England may not have won the rugby, our National football team are far from certain to make it through to Euro 2008, but we did win the World Conker Championships last week. Well done South Africa
Check out that last PM - Po'. The link is exactly what you were asking about earlier. It points to a page with the icon on it.
Could you confirm the above Start Panel animation (eg. Dragon in Molten) remains an inactive feature at this stage? Or am I just not looking hard enough? Tks .
