Kobrano, disabling ActiveX support in IE makes it so much more secure in that case. It kind of amuses me that Firefox is considered more secure because it does not have ActiveX support. It's a LACK and NOT security feature. It's not there not because Mozilla coders are so brillian, but because they would not be able to make it work across all the platforms Gecko runs at. You CAN disable ActiveX support in IE. Using that same logic the most secure way t
I was doing Seti@home before I discovered my Athlon 64 comes with a Cool'n'quiet thing and before it was sitting there for a week without doing a thing because Seti ran out or units to compute. With this little program here: Link You can help saving Amozon forest... a bit... or conserve the world oil supplies... a bit... unfortunately it will not work well with SETI@home si
I am aware that this article is partially redundant. I've written similar article in about a year ago but it was concerning icons. IconDeveloper is fairly similar in this term to SkinStudio since they share a great deal of their code base. However there I suppose there may be a significant number of people not realizing that - hence the article. So we have christmas again. I tell you - I love <A href="https://www.wincustomize.com
you can batch convert them to icons with Icon Developer. The option is available at: File->Batch processing->... but then you need to create the package with Icon Packager.
I'm sure the rules will be set and enforced if common sense will keep failing. The thread is most probably to make people think. Free will and a brain is a powerfull tool.
Fairyy, that's what this thread is all about. and i believe Butch is mostly the reason it was started.
buzzh58, that's exactly what the description is... "favorite desktop configuration" mahing more than one FAVORITE a day heck - a week, makes it kind of... not favorite? I mean... if you really like it, you have spent a lot of time time setting it up, how come you can have more that one of that a week! In my opinion the library description says it all and any more than 1 upload a day chould be rejected.
Though, you still need to buy PSP, while this app is free.
if it can create an RLE-8 compressed AVIs I suppose yes.
Since I have received a number of requests for comments on how to do this and was alwas forced to redirect them to Mike, I've decided to dig into the subject and write an article about. You will find the article together with the rest of my WindowBlinds (and some other Stardock software
How exactly do you create those criters? At first it may seem a tedious job but once you have all the frames, you're pretty much set. First thing I did in my research was asking the experts. I've asked some of the skin authors and most of them uses a kind of workaround to this. The most detailed explanation I've received from one of the greatest WindowBlinds skinners - Mike Bryant : <TABLE width="70%" align=center
I really like the new style much better. Thanks! Great Smileys as well, Thanks guys!

1 Abstract The document describes the structure and operation of The SkinStudio Import Export Filers. Files used to transform between skin formats. 2 What is a filter definition So what exactly is a SkinStudio import/export filter? Basically filter definition is an INI based file residing in the "filters" subfolder in the SkinStudio folder, that tells SkinStudio how to transform one format into another. Filters have proven to be quite powerfull as they
There was a concern by some users why SkinStudio shares a start menu with the original substyle when you create another substy;le based on it.. Basically the answer is - It's not a bug - It's a feature. It's like that by design. If you select a prefix on save then you will get another start menu as well, otherwise skinstudio will use the same stuff for 2 reasons. 1) it does not know how to name the new "xpstuff.xp". 2) it does not know whether you really want to break the connec
Very important: Recoloring or skinning icons does not change the original author's copyright, nor does it make such icons yours. If you recolor or skin an icon that has not been made by yourself you may not upload or share a recolored icon without the original author's permission. In the next few days Stardock is publishing the next component of it's extremely successful ObjectDesktop . The new component is called <A href="https://ww
I'm sure a lot of people here will be glad to help you with your problems with Skinstudio. Give it a try. There are some documents on how to build skins with SkinStudio here on my blog: http://adam.joeuser.com/articles.asp?AID=10204
I live in Poland, yes.
DesktopX is scripted, so it can do pretty much anything you can imagine. In that regard Konfabulator is similar.
laurentfr, it's not unicode aware yet.
Look at it this way though... he's just had a ton of free advertising. Advertising to people who have not tried DX, Kaps or Ave before, and they will buy this instead. I do not care about moving Konfab on Windows. They did wise moving to Windows. The problem I have with Arlo is with this very statement. he is not bringning any great idea to
Alas! Brad has been discussing it already once here It's just like : > Mac = cool (after all EVERYTHING GETS INVENTED ON MAC FIRST), > PC = boring (WE ONLY COPYCAT DIVINE MAC DEVELOPERS)
There's a lot of noise in the news sites ( Slashdot.org , News.com and Neowin.net ) about the Monday release of Konfabulator for Windows. But to be honest they just make me think that journalists today no longer care to be thr
