It's why Bill never got himself a legacy; kind of hard to take a firm stand on any issue when you jump around according to the polls. - Rightwinger I must call you on this. Blowjobs aside, many argue President Clinton was one of the most successful Republican presidents we've ever had. * He put tens of thousands of cops on the beat nationwide in signing the 1994 Crime and enacted a new initiative to fund 100,000 community pol
I disagree, Rightwinger, there's more substance to this then some old bag floating with the polls (which I'm certain she does to some degree as do all major industries, other politicians, consumer advocacy groups, major industry leaders such as Ford, Sony, etcetera, etcetera) . If she truly were going strictly by the polls (and which ones do you believe she favors most?), don't you think she'd be calling for troop withdrawal immediately - in accordance with the latest from Zogby and oth

Not scared anymore.
Yeah that Clinton woman sure will do anything to play to the polls, won't she? - Bakerstreet I'd say I whole-heartedly agree but I think there's much more to her condemnation then simple poll-watching...
FOX NEWS ALERT NORTH KOREA MAY FIRE TEST MISSILE WITHIN ONE MONTH CAPABLE OF REACHING THE U.S. Fuck Fox. Where were they in 2003? In fact, where the fock was any of the news media in the United States? North Korea has already fired a missile that landed in the United States. Let me share with
Yeah? Really? Well down the hatch. *Cloaks oneself in the American Flag* Democracy for all, just look out for what you say on the phone and if you don't have anything to hide, you'll be fine. Don't forget to support that all-important flag burning amendment y'all. ...suckers...
This is why I love JU. Interesting that you would post this without linking to anything supporting your assertion (or rather implication) that Beck makes up facts. - Greywar The spoon-feeding. Gotta' dadgum spoonfeed folks; simply allowing one to ram one's point home over and over and over again. I love it. Now, I apologize gentlemen (Greywar - specifically) for the long turnaround on response time. I've had to take a second job in addition to attending cla
Wow. It happened. Glenn Beck finally got a shot at the big time. Now we can watch him stuff his foot in his mouth instead of listening to the sound of leather scraping his tongue on the radio. I don't care much for O'Reilly's gimmicky line of questioning - designed to keep his guests from actually supporting their answers from his attacks - but at least O'Reilly has a few brain cells saving him from public embarrassm
Great topic. I grew up on Voltron, Transformers, Gi-Joe, He-Man, Thundercats, Silverhawks, Smurfs, Snorks, Galaxy High, Lazer Tag Academy, and a bunch of Hanna-Barbara shtuff I can't even remember the names of. Some of the most action-packed and emotionally charged toons to have ever hit the tv arrived in the 80's, usually accompanied by a healthy dose of slightly lame PSA's. I really have a hard time appreciating any of the carto
I guess the article is too balanced to provoke response, or too accurate to attack.
Hmm. Nobody going to bat. I'm not going to be engaging anyone on this thread. I am honestly hoping there could be somebody willing to take a poke at this for the benefit of the author. Thanks in advance.
A student friend of mine at the MSU Standard had her thoughts to share regarding the conflict in Iraq. I'd say she's a fresh voice, feel free to share yours. The Crux of the Issue with M. Chiles President Bush seeks to regain public support for the war in Iraq, which began just over 3 years ago. He sure would like the me
I just know better than to try to discuss it much around here when people are already so outraged that they are portraying America as some sort of Christian Church-state and claiming we're going to start rounding up Atheists any day. - Bakerstreet I understand that view. It's also very nice to read your first paragraph of that post, good stuff.
As you may guess, what makes me ill was the utter pandering to the socially conservative base with zero follow-through by some in the majority, that's what makes me sick, Baker, not the scarcity of decent adult and children programming. ...but we won't hold the majority accountable 'cause they're 'our' guys, right Baker? - Me ahem. This post would have made more sense had I not left out some words, it should read: <BR
We are spoon fed the candidates the two parties deem controllable enough for a place in the oligarchy. -Paden Lee Great rant, I very much agree - particularly with the above statement. There is illusion of choice in America under the two-party system.
I get more of a sense that most of the participants were interested in the film because the material was strong and interesting to them rather than anyone involved wanting to make a broader social statement. - HistoryisHere I think 'Brokeback' is (yet) another love story some went to see because they felt this love story would be insightful and interesting because it depicted a side of things they weren't familiar with. That'
Your question of "What makes Linux more secure then Windows?" does not make Linux hack-free. - DjBandit It wasn't a rhetorical question made to prove that point, DjBandit. I am simply posing the question if Linux really is so much more 'secure' then Windows then the greater number of attackers shouldn't (won't would be an absolute and no O/S will ever be 100% 'secure') be a problem for it - so if someone comes along and makes a good case presenting Linux a
That's what I thought. I'm talking about 'Syriana' not 'Valley of the Wolves'. So I understand why you say what you do, Wahine, but I don't understand Gideon's opine. Anyone else here see Syriana or know something about the film to prove it's space in the ranks of timeless propaganda? I would take up the argument "Is Valley of the Wolves Propaganda?" if I cared to do so, but since I don't I'll just throw out a bone and say that propaganda isn't m
You may petition the Lord with prayer...but don't expect anything. So why argue the point?
I think the real question is "What makes Linux more secure then Windows?" The volume of hackers possibly egged on by the greater volume of users shouldn't make much difference if the majority of or flagship distros of Linux truly are more 'secure' then Windows. This is a very good question to ask but I would beg anyone to debate the issue honestly with as many examples as possible in an open fashion far away from rhetorical devices. My lil bro' uses Linux, he got me
You're kidding, right? - Texas Wahine Nope. Got some insight for me?
..been watching some animated Boondocks lately, dav? It was a well-done episode.
