It's just that it comes up, as Dr Guy pointed out, every year... The article that you reference in the text of your post addresses many of the same points as Snopes, and I'll give you kudos for at least researching this a bit before shooting off about it on JU. Many people can't be bothered to even do that.

I'm feeling much better, thanks. Some gym time this morning, not much food during the day, then too much KFC for dinner. Took a big nap, now I'm up doing laundry. Run tomorrow morning.

PT was cancelled (I assume for lightning within 5nm of base) so I got to sleep in a tad, and I managed to sit through the scheduled briefing this morning, but... once I got to class, I started feeling very poorly. Very poorly. Dizzy, nauseous, a warm feeling that might indicate low grade fever. I was functional for about an hour, maybe less, and I tried to
Bacon and eggs Part of an energy bar (because the kids mooched about half of it) The Mac&Cheese that the kids didn't eat My kids don't like Pizza Rolls + My inability to let food go to waste = 1400 calories! Energy drink (Rockstar) and a large protein bar on the way home Might actually do the dumbbell work that I mention so often on here as a
Dharma's mum is here from England for a couple of weeks, that's why she aint around much. Actually, her Mum's visit had prompted her to post almost more regularly than she had been. She hasn't been around consistently for... well, too long.
Let's see: Energy drink and chorizo&egg burrito for breakfast Soy protein snacks to tide me over until lunch Chicken and sausage gumbo and a grilled cheese sandwich (2 slices wheat, one slice 2% milk cheese, olive oil spray instead of butter/margarine) for lunch A couple of Cheetos (or Cheat-Os, perhaps) An energy bar Ginormous pizza buffe
Congratulations!
I passed dharma, 10330 to 10288. I like seeing my score creeping up from the slow but steady trickle of points from my diet/exercise accountability postings (it's like a mini-reward for being good), but this also means that she hasn't been around to blog as much as I (and others) would like. I think points are recalculated daily, but I'm not certain. I see
No PT this morning, I had other commitments. I've done a (very) little exercise over the course of the day, but I've been very tired lately. I need to regulate my sleep, and perhaps "normal" eating over the weekend might help to rebalance me. Pseudo wanted to be able to drink freely. Although I generally hold conservative views, I believe drinking should be done liberally.

You know, I had assumed this was just for soldiers in Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom, but it's not. The new rule is updated under paragraph 2-1g which falls under "All Army personnel." I may be back after clarification from my supervisor.
Apparently my JU "birthday" was 3 years and 2 days ago, May Day 2004. I didn't even realize it except I just noticed while I was checking my account status. 348 articles. Huh.
The condition for our withdrawal is the Iraq Government's ability for self-sustainment. Statistics from last week's Army Times showed the number of Iraqi Army, special operations combat forces or strategic infrastructure battalions has increased by 42 from June 2005 to February 2007. The number of these battalions that are either fully independent of our forces or operating with US Forces in an advisory role has gone from 24 to 92 in the same timefra

Didn't Greywar's mom participate for a while? That is who I was referencing, yes.
Margaritas Are those masculine or feminine? We didn't cover that in your (much) earlier article.
The real issue is not OPSEC, that is simply a stalking horse for the real problem that officers have with blogs : soldiers telling the truth about officers and policies. They want that stopped and stopped now. Fair. I will say that anything posted "in public" on the internet counts as a "public statement," so soldiers need to be cautious that they don't step over the line from "honest criticism" into "insubordinate behavior" territory.
Reminds me of the opening chapters of Catch 22, where Yosarian is assigned to censor outgoing mail. Also has me thinking, "What if soldiers get together and write numerous pleasant but boring emails to all of their relatives, with no OPSEC breaches, and then ask their commander to approve them for delivery?" Also also has me thinking... they'd rather the soldiers breaching OPSEC on the telephone?

Authorized if the flag is illuminated at night That's "if". I have seen way too many flags that are just left up with no lighting. True, true. I just didn't know if you realized there was the possibility that it was the right thing. But she shouldn't be flying in the dark.
I can tell global warming is real, because this time last month it was, like, 10 degrees cooler. And stuff. Plus, the past few days I've been really dehydrated.
I'm not going to speak to the issue. I don't think that it would be constructive or that it will help you. I will let you know that you can vent on here, and I will read it. You can vent in private email to me, and I will read it. You can vent on MySpace, and I will read it. I love you guys and will help you if I can.
Be happy that they raise and lower it. Most places (even schools) just put it up and leave it. Authorized if the flag is illuminated at night (and that it doesn't wear or fray visibly, then it would have to be replaced). The Navy detachment on the Air Force Base I work at leaves theirs up but well l
