First off, let me say that I haven't been to Iraq. I'm also (most likely, anyway) not going. At least for a year. And probably not while I'm in the service. Maybe once I get out, if I get one of those lucrative mercenary translator jobs there. Remains to be seen. But I have friends over there, both soldier and mercenary translator types. So, I'm experiencin

There's really little you can do if you shape it too much (stretch it past your ear). You can try and leave it in the heat for it to shrink up (usually wetting it first), but that can shrink it in ways you didn't want to. The smell... wet, burnt sheep dog, I tell you.
Well, there were some Storm-centric storylines, but they were pretty much to the exclusion of the rest of the X-Men: the Morlocks and Dracula spring to mind. Additionally, I've heard rumors that Singer is no longer attached to X-Men 3, and will instead be doing the next Superman movie. Could be baseless. Maybe not.
It's a fine article. Read it at work last week when one of my associates Link printed it out for the edification of the group.
Or the sun. Or the heat. They're a wonder in the Motor Pool, I'll tell you.
heh. Guess I'm just here to say "Me too" to the comments above. But I am truly happy that things are going so well for you.
Everywhere I look, cockroaches. I have only recently realized that they're nearly flat for a reason, you know. They aren't really there, mind you. Well, not in plain sight. But they're just under the surface, waiting to burst out. Out from under the stove, from under the sink (or up out of the drain). Definitely out from under the covers of my bed (can't
Besides being Capital letters at the beginnings of the words? No, I suppose not.
A few weekends ago, I was on the road. I forget where I was (exactly), or where I was going (exactly), but on the sign for Food at the next Exit, I saw an odd name: Kate's Kountry Kitchen. I believe in giving the benefit of the doubt. I thought that this was perhaps just taking alliteration to its illogical conclusion. I didn't assume they had un intentiona
Yeah, there's some "forming" of the berets here, as initially instructed by SFC Calangelo (at least for our little group). No liner, and we usually go with the "shave and burn" method. *Then* we wet it down and wear it around the house (or wherever). Smells like a wet, burnt dog. Usually shape mine outside because of that. I'm fairly certain that some soldiers don't even shape theirs (and others complain that shaping it causes it to han
Well, I've been Googling for something akin to what cactoblasta said, but I guess I'm off on my search skills tonight (*cough* Old Crow *cough*). But I'm still not seeing the Islamic connection to the story, unless I squint real hard... still not buying it completely, grey. Maybe I don't have enough info on the background (of the area, the tribes involved, whateva).
Hey, I got nothing against arrogant. I'm just sayin'. I do agree on the media having a bias. Very difficult to not let opinion influence reporting.
Nicely done, the last bit there, reminding me that I'm not as anonymous as I like to think. Also, grey and I don't "go" to drink. It's more of a "stay and" scenario.
dharma - I've managed to avoid the ulcer so far, but there have been multiple times I've brought antacid to work. Hmm... White Russians with antacid instead of milk... and it'd have that natural minty taste, too! Bonus! Additionally, I'm not going anywhere for awhile. Not even if I wanted to. So, no chances of getting together. Besides, you wouldn't know me if you saw me. <img src="../images/smiles/jokegrim.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmid
I first read about this incident here: Link In this overview, Smash links to a previous article of his: Link Assuming the things he has posted are true, it does show that she has talked about Moore in past performances (in a positive light). Even if she dedicated Desperado to him in a less than flattering light, it w
True that it sounds more like racism, from what greywar posted here, and there doesn't seem to be any instances of the words "islam" or "muslim" on the page he quotes. But, where is the part in the Quran that says "especially" infidels?
There was no fruit involved, nor protection from rain. Old Crow and Diet Pepsi tonight (not too much, though, as tomorrow is double PT).
Annnnd... greywar earns an "insightful."
As long as Sangus isn't around trying to outdrink you at the same time. He might get confused.
Well, generating the names didn't take as much time as it could. He found at least one online-pirate-name-generator. The only ones he had to work up by himself were ones that were duplicates (apparently easy, as the generator did a simple mathematical function on the name input, and there weren't too many different outputs), and ones that were *highly* inappropriate (Two Fisted Dick?). Besides, he had plenty of help doing the write-ups for them; som
Perhaps this could start a set of theme blogs, all about greywar's alcohol tolerance as shown through anecdotal evidence. I'll have to work one up, soon...
I don't know that it's "the companies are reading [your] email." I would think that it's the spyware installed in tandem with your browser that is just looking for words in the browser to hyperlink. But I suppose it's possible that if it can read what's on the screen, it can send it back somewhere...
I tell ya, though, all those positive comments from friends and relatives are really dragging down the enjoyment factor of his work.
Well, it's still working for me... I suppose it's not a huge loss right now, as all his content is still, well, not there. I don't know if he'll be transferring his old stuff, or just working off the new. Guess I should've plugged his site before now...
Link is working for me (2100 your time, chip).
