I'm on a 56k modem and the old site loaded at a fairly normal rate for me. I guess the intensive part must have been the serverside stuff it took to generate the site. Seen in this light, I can certainly understand why you went to the new design. Are there any plans to recode the WinCustomize site efficiently? (which it needs badly)

The old design was much better... unique, this one is just a ho-hum design that could be just any one of a thousand similar sites. I'm not saying it's a bad design, it's not, it's just not unique anymore. Is there a way to choose between styles?

Tom, I was given an Apple IIGS when it was first released. Within a little over a year, Apple completely stopped supporting it, and Apple software was no longer compatable with it, even though I easily exceeded the minimum system requirements. The local school system was also a pure Mac place. They kept having the same problem year after year, they finally switched to PC because it was so much less effort to maintain, even though it meant that Apple wouldn't be giving them free comput

A followup on papidon's resolution thread. What is the maximum resolution you can set your computer to? To start off, /me can go to 2048x1536 Though, I only go this high for photoshopping at home. Believe me, everything is tiny, but I sure have lots of desktop space to work with. [Message Edited]

I use it, mostly because I find the default WinXP Pro bootscreen to be ugly. Yes, it's just a few seconds every couple of weeks, but that's just one less thing left to the MSFT default BTW, does anyone know if it'll just be the bootscreen, or will it be extended to the hibernate screen, etc? If it's extended to the hibernate screen, that's definitely a good thing as I see it several times a day.
