Ok, fair enough. When I think of the desktop, I think of the thing with the wallpaper and the icons strewn across it. I think of the taskbar, the start menu, the systray, etc. separately.
Aqua.
/me to Frogboy... Yup /me to Jafo This is why I mainly use WindowBlinds (customized with additional controls) Those additional controls are rollups, transparencies, and other items. And for some other things <T
I know that the point of these things is to alter the GUI and improve it towards certain goals. But for me, programs that alter how applications look and act will always be more important that those that only alter the desktop (like DesktopX and 3DNA) due to the rarity of which I (and many othe people) actually see/use the desktop. The only time I ever see the desktop is when I'm booting up the computer. This is why I mainly use WindowBlinds (customized with additional controls), Obje
Question: Is the number of people in slums increasing or decreasing as a percentage of the population? I believe that's the important question, not the absolute number. The absolute number will always increase due to simple population growth. On a somewhat morbid note, AIDS should drastically reduce the numbers of those who live in slums within a decade or two. Some countries are closing in on an 80% infection rate <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/mad.gif" b
Does this release get rid of the spinning pink squares that have plagued earlier releases?
I for one am really looking forwards to a Trillian section. As much as I love 3DNA, when it comes right down to it, it's only a desktop, like DesktopX. It's wonderful to be able to customize it, but I rarely ever see my desktop since I use the start menu, ObjectDock, and various docked and maximized applications all the time. Trillian is something that is on my screen 24/7, docked perman
For folks wanting 3DNA themes, go to http://www.blizzbaby.com - Aqua (3DNA Moderator)
Used to use Netscape, then Mozilla, and now Firebird All are gecko based, and the browser keeps getting better and better
Definitely Trillian
Nice for browsing Warez sites with the dialers they push on the unwary
Yup, I'm interested in seeing all 3, right bang after each other But that just means I'll watch two on my home projector and the third in the theater
hey, fuzzy asked
Of course it's logical! It does not waste any space and you do not have to worry about it getting caught on something. On a planetary surface such as Vulcan, environmental conditions mandate loose flowing clothing, but on a cramped starship, efficiency is paramount. Of course.... there's the effect of reducing the efficiency of male crew members working around her
Used to be 14 seconds, it's now over a minute (at least half of that is loading DesktopX on startup)

I can't get Star Trek at all *sniff*
It is available, there are several programs that will proxy your email, basically you check your email as a pop3, these programs then process these requests and interface with Hotmail.
Oh ok, I'll just update the old fashioned way then
Legolas, I've run WindowBlinds on a 486 before fairly well, and on a PI with no trouble. This was on Win '95 I didn't want to, but I was stuck using my g'parents' computers for two weeks and just couldn't stand the plain '95 interface <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.gif" border=0 ALIGN="
Radio buttons, checkboxes, etc. In addition, the logoff screen, explorer sidebars, that sort of stuff.
Yeah, I know how to add the missing elements manually, and that's my fallback plan. But I was under the impression that there was an option I could use to auto-populate the controls and other stuff.
Oh, and for the WinFX dragging animations, I always get tons of moving pink squares when trying it, so I don't have that enabled, even though it would be quite neat if it worked properly.
I seem to recall reading somewhere that the new version of SkinStudio can take a set of graphics and automatically extrapolate them into an entire WB4 skin. However, I can't figure out how to get it to do this. I'm just trying to update my WB3 skin to a WB4 skin the easy way. I'll do it the manual way if necessary, but this way seems much more convenient (auto-populate, then mod to my liking)
