OK, so both are true. I can download them seperatly then make myself a skin pack out of the individual packs, or I could download a prepackaged bundle. Gotcha. But still, is my idea feasible? is the skin pack just a zip file renamed? I know there are server components that can zip files on the fly, so maybe my idea would be an interesting thing to consider and a great addition to your software.

Pretender: "In desktop I mean start bar, tool bars, and pop up windows " Custom Startbar: Objectbar https://www.stardock.com/products/objectbar/ or Hoverdesk http://www.hoverdesk.net Tool bars: ?? Dunno what you meen by that, but I'm assuming it's like your own customised app launcher bars and stuff, then the answer is the same as the above. Pop up Windows: ?? Again I'm not sure what you mean, but if what you call popups are the customised popup menus when you click on the desktop, the

Very neat, but how does it work? Say I want to download one of treetog's suite for ICQ, Windowblinds and Winamp. Do I download each skin separatly? or, if I understood the description correctly, do Treetog have to actually make a predetermined package? Then if a package includes 15 different apps but I only have 2 or 3 of them, do I still need to download the whole thing? Would it be possible to program this website in such a way that I could select the respective skins I wish to have, the

My first computer was a Radio Shack's Coco, back around 1982 or so... I think... Learned a bit of basic with it. My first program was an alarm clock. Hehehe! Then, after that, I really didn't touch computers until about 1989 or so when I went back to school in college; I then bough a Mac Plus (black and white) for my homeworks. I kept it for a number of years, then bough a 486 in 1995. That's when I discovered the Internet and started building web pages. The rest is history. <img src

800x600 and 1024x768 have a 1.33 ratio while 1280x1024 have a 1.25 ratio. So the image is slightly stretched lenghwise. One gets used to it after a while, it not really perceptible.

Alex, is there a 32x32 icon in the .ico file as well as the 16x16. Because places as a shortcut (32x32) the icon's colors seem distorted a bit. Otherwise, it's very nice.

No khaled, it only works for XP. XP has skins but no integrated way to apply your own skins to it. With Resource Hacker you can apparently extact Windows skins and replace it with your own. But then again maybe not, according to Brad.

Actually, then why not just put a shortcut in your browser. No, to be interesting, such an object would need to connect to a server once a day, then download a new text and image every day. That would be cool, this way people would know what the site of the day is without having to visit any web page. My 2 cents.

Karlie, our email addresses on are this site and other skinning sites. Since the virus builds a database of addresses from the browser's recently visited web sites, it's only normal a lot of us here get it. I recieve it now at least once a day, all from people I never heard of.

Thanks guys! I knew I could could on you! Xyman: the cpl thing works great. Thanks. Is it going to work also for people who have Win 9x? Dork: I wouldn't exactly consider myself amoung the big boys, but thanks for the answer. Skinning the right-click menu would be really cool. Actually, it would be awsome if eventually it would allow to customize the right click menu as you can with Litestep and NextStart. Then Desktop X could truely become the best shell enhancement ever!

The code I typed works. I tested it myself. The problem with IE is that TD widths are not kept unless they is content in it to force it to that width. Therefore the 1 pixel image that you stretch to the width you want your cell to be. Try it, you'll see it works.

Hey!! Code is deleted from the msgboard... Lets try this:

[

Then it is strange indeed. Make sure you indeed downloaded and installed the enhanced version... Just registering the trial version won't do it, you need to actually download the enhanced version after you receive your registration code... I don't know if that is your problem, but it's the only thing I can think of...

Oh and I have another question. I have a clock (DXDigitalClock plugin), and I want to open the date/time Widows window when I double-click on it, like the regular clock. Anybody knows what the class number of it is?

Well, I think it's nothing new that Damn and Hell are swear words. If anything, they are actually less considered swear words today than they used to. They are irreligious words and therefore in a religious society it would be a grave offence to say them. Unless they are used in context of course as when a priest says "Sinners shall be damed and go to hell forever!". But of course if you say "Damn this thing! The Hell with it!" then of course, religiously speaking it is a great offence. Whil
