IconShop is currently in early development to extract 32 bits OS X icons. But you need XP to see the result since the extracted file is a 32 bits PC icon...

Unless you are talking about 32 bits XP or OSX icons, then it's even harder until the applications follow the technology.
You can't. Where do you copy it from? An Icon Editor? Anyway, it doesn't matter. Whether you are copying it from an Icon Editor or just taking a screenshot that you paste into Photoshop, the transparency is lost. You have to select the color and delete it. It's easy enough to do anyway, it takes a second.
Hum, no blue whatsoever here. Maybe it's loading from your cache?
I'M HERE! Hehehe! You're previous post was answered, it's right there: http://scripts.wincustomize.com/msgboardid.asp?id=14649
I love the new default skin!! It's awsome! And the lizard in the logo is adorable! I love it! Bravo guys! The default look is now the one I use!
The virus attaches a random file from your system... Imagine it randomly chooses a 100 Meg file or above (yes, I have some of those, mainly PSDs though).
Sometimes DX, sometimes Litestep. Most of the times nothing.
hehehe! Busted!
Thanks Anglada. Like Doreen said, you can get it at deviantart: iWinBlue ( http://www.deviantart.com/deviation.php?id=22119 ), orange ( http://www.deviantart.com/deviation.php?id=22121 ), green ( http://www.deviantart.com/deviation.php?id=22120 ) and purple ( http://www.deviantart.com/deviation.php?id=22122 )
I hear XP has an integrated Firewall. Can it be disabled and another third party Firewall used instead? For some reason I don't trust a Firewall built in the system, something in me tells me MS left a backdoor to snoop on you...
Oh oh, China has some competition.
Windowblinds in my opinion is a must. Then to customize the actual desktop it all depends what you want to do: - have animations and really cool icons, shortcuts, and other nice objects on your desktop, the Desktop X is the way to go. - To have right-click on desktop customizable start menu, NextStart is the way to go. - To have a customizable Start/Task bar, Objectbar is the best - To have a really flexible program launcher/starbar replacement then go for Hoverdesk
So Targus, tell us what you like about it. I really hate the way Microsoft, with every new version of Office or Windoze, always seems to try to have things done automatically or through a wizard. It erks me. I hate wizards, and I like to have control. Or that &*%&*$? HTML page in the Program Files or Windows folder that hides the content until you tell it to show it. In Win 2000 it's the same for "My Network Places"... Grrrr! Let me do what I want! Argh!
Or if you don't WANT to get bigger, if bigger is just too much expenses and trouble, you can restrict access, as you are doing in times of high traffic. I'm sure if you just removed anonymous access, a lot less people would bother to register in the first place. You'd probably cut a lot there. If that's not enough I imagine you could limit the maximum number of simultaneous connexions to the server and distribute access priority according to status (those infamous titles: people with higher
What I meant to say in my last paragraph is that a company can gain revenus from a website it sponsors or owns. Like Stardock gets indirect revenus from Wincustomize. As for adds, I refered to targeted markets. For example, we recently booked a banner for a client on a specialized magazine's website. It's costing 150$/month just for the little banner in a specific section of the website. Overall, on that site, there are at least 20 or 30 other banners (which are more like tiny buttons than
gorman, as I said in my post: ad revenus are coming back, they are starting to raise a little again, and they will continue to raise. No it will never reach the ridiculous amount it was before the fall of the dot coms. But banner ads will come back. Actually, banner ads already can bring some money in certain targeted margets. In this case I beleive Adobe, Windows XP, and other Graphics/skinning related companies would be willing to pay more in order to be featured on the site. Anyway, I am
Congratulations again. Just curious, are these "oficial" jobs, as in "getting paid"?
Well! Good for you my friend! Glad I could help.
A Wizop? Wazup? Wazzat? :0 Congrats!
Yeah, Rescafé's instalation isn't easy to figure out. But I would think Peter Stuer will probably make alpha channels available in a future release of IconShop. Maybe you can email and ask him: [email protected] Take care.
OK, make that: www.cs.msstate.edu/~smithg/ResCafe/
If you have Java, there's also ResCafe, which seems to save 32 icons with alpha: http://www.cs.msstate.edu/~smithg/ResCafe/
The only program you can extract Mac icons with is IconShop. Last I tried it couldn't keep the alpha information, but it may have changed with the imminent release of XP. Try it out: http://users.pandora.be/liontech/
looks like the comic sans MS font to me. It comes with Windows now.
