I don't realy have an opinion on the proposed point system, believe it or not. The only thing I disagree on this is the post deletion. That's bad. If I reply a simple "yes" or "Listen to ess-vid" or even just , it should NOT get deleted. It may not certainly not merit a point but it doesn't merit deletion either. So, really, I could have simply typed "Listen to Jafo", but I wouldn't want

Listen to Third Eye
OK, cause from what I've seen from their website it looks a lot like what ATM or Suitcase can do, except that it's free, which is great. But both ATM and Suitcase have a "Startup" group where you place the fonts you wish to load on startup. Craeonics, no it's not possible because Photoshop, Flash and most other programs like it load the fonts on loading the application. If you activate a new font while Photoshop is opened, the only way it can know about it is to close and reopen Photos
The Font Things looks intersting craeonics and Jafo, but I have a question. Can you set a group of fonts (or collection) to activate automatically on startup?
Of course, there are the big guys: Adobe Type Manager and Symantec's Suitcase.
Try removing the spaces in your file name: name it BlackBox_for_Litestep.gif instead. This might solve your problem.
I personally don't think it is. One comment is worth 1000 downloads as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, it's sad. And to add to the sadness, it has 7 ratings. I serioulsy think raters should have the decency to comment as well. Actually, I think commenting shold be part of submitting a rating. It should be compulsary. As it is now, I am sad to see that I was right and that ratings are becoming "lazy feedback". It's much quicker to pick a number than to scribble down a few constructive comments.

Try Desktop X
OK, now that we got it all figured out, who's the volunteer to program it?
To be safe, don't.
Yes, I know. That's why I said I would turn all that crap off if I was forced to use it. But in the end, if I turn everything off, why should I upgrade? Anyway, Microsoft itself said that XP is not intended for current Win2000 users, but for current Win9x users. Windows 2000 users are expected to keep Windows 2000. No reason to upgrade, other than weird personal satisfaction of knowing you have upgraded.
Well I like new things, I'm a gadget freak. But not when there is more bad than good. I haven't tried XP but I've tried all the XP Desktop X themes out there, and if the start menu works the same way in XP as in those themes, I really don't like it. Pretty much, I don't like any of the cosmetic "enhancements" XP has. If I was stuck with XP I would disable all those HTML Start menus/Folder views crap. If it's the only "good" thing XP has, then no thank you. As for stability, I c
Neoguigui, it is a very nice DX theme, but you should remove the Apple logo and the big X. They are both registered trademarks and Apple does not allow anybody to use them. Apple have repeatedly made threats to sue about those things in the past. So, remove those trademarked logos and reupload, they will not be removed from the site then.
Froybog, I love your password! Hahaha! You're killing me!
Handspring Visor Deluxe.
Hum, from what I read about the Win9x emulator that will ship with XP, it still will not be compatible with everything. So I would still need a dual boot anyway, like I do now to play the few games that won't work un 2k (actually, only my Tomb Raider games don't work, and it's the only reason I keep the dual boot - everything else works fine). So, nope. It's not a reason enough to spend hundreds of dollars to upgrade. Anything else? XP is really just cosmetic "enhancements" of 2k al
Well since it was said that the problem is that site don't stay around very long, then the software may be very quickly outdated. Then the soluton may be to have the software configurable by the user, where the user himself would set it up to upload to the site he wants to upload to. A little bit like you add different mail accounts in a email software, you could add site accounts in the software. Now, how this could be done, I'm not sure. Maybe one would need to enter the uplo
Camaris, ratings are given by people with higher ranks. Every one of them have their own way of giving the ratings. So your questions just really has as many answers as there are raters. I myself only give a rating when I see a skin has a rating too low than it deserves. Then I usually give it a 10 to boost it up a little.
Nah, I still like pico. Simple is best.
OK, somebody please give me one single advantage XP has over 2000. Although I read some people say it's so great and it's such a big improvement, I haven't read any so far. So, what's it got that 2000 doesn't?
Could the filter have options? For example if I decide to see only highly downloaded skins/wallpapers instead of seeing only highly rated ones?
By the way, I'm running Win 2000 and very happy with it.
