I've found that the left scrolling only doesn't work when I have the planets overview mini-screen active Same here.

How did you get so far in debt? You suck!
Either acting as a protector of them or being the leader of a "League of Nonaligned Worlds" of your own. That is any excellent idea. I like trying to keep the minor races near my territory alive, and it would be great if I had a diplomatic option to warn other races of the consequences of attacking my minor friends.
I want a society where every citizen is named Shirley. SHIRLEY 514232: "Shirley, you can't be serious!" SHIRLEY 937209: "Shirley, I am."
There is something similar: Quarterly Reports. Watch for them each quarter!
For balancing sakes it would probably be good if each race had a pre-defined start system Good idea.
BTW, I believe it's spelt Tourette's Syndrome, Turret's Syndrome would be where large castle towers grow out of your head. I think this is double funny for anyone who used to play the Weapons Factory mod for Quake 2. One of the weapons was called a Turret Grenade, and whenever some got killed by one it would say " just died of Turret'
Of course, the real question is: Did StarDock intend for Banks to be the upgrade for Marketplaces? Looking at the stats, it would seem so. If they did, then it's just a bug that you cannot upgrade like you should. Thank you Starpilot. That's what I was getting at.
I don't know why you guys are arguing about this. The point I was trying to make was very simple: 1) A Bank has superior stats to Marketplace in ALL respects 2) You can build as many Banks OR Marketplaces as you wish, limited only by buildable tiles 3) Since Banks stats are superior to Marketplaces IN ALL RESPECTS, it would be unwise to waste tiles on Marketplaces If you have some personal preference for the Marketplace graphic over the Bank graphic, that's cool.
Should mountains perhaps be more apparent on the map? More distinctive looking terrain graphics would make a big difference Strange colours perhaps for various worlds? That would re
Can't we just throw in some blood and gore! I don't need to control my troops, but if my troops are far superior to the enemy, then I want to see lots of blood and meyhem! What's the point in being on the winning side if you don't get to see your enemies dismembered in a horrifying bloodbath?!?
The diplomacy part of the game isn't finished. A Stardock developer said that the diplomacy screens were enabled by accident when Beta 3A was released.
Good Bye The Lowa Federation... The aliens were unimpressed with your silly empire name. They decided it would be easier to erase you from existence than convince you to come up with a better name.
Yeah Venus! It rhymes with ..... Enos.
Don't be too worried about the speed of tech advances in Beta 3. There is no balancing in the game yet. That will come later.
Who says The Borg aren't in galciv? Screw assimilation. YOU WILL BE ERADICATED! Fear the AI super-ships!
It saves them under your My Documents folder in a subfolder called My Games.
1) There will be Fleets in the final version of the game, which is even better than just stacking ships! It should be cool. 2) I saw someone else report the stacked starbase bug about a week ago, so hopefully one of the devs has recorded that one.
Is Beta 3 worth trying out or should I wait for Beta 4? If you want to "play", wait for the next Beta. If you want to "test", get this one. How are upgrades performed? i.e. If I purchase and download the Beta 3
However I think that would only work if the starting ship range was larger Remember that you can just create a new colony ship design on the cargo hull that has more support modules, thus increasing the range.
You can rename ships. Just click on the ship name while viewing it's info on the main map. A popup will appear and you enter the new name. There is a bug in this release where the ship graphic stops moving with the ship if you rename it. A save and reload fixes that for now, until the bug is addressed in the next beta.
Saving designs was covered in a thread a couple weeks ago. Stardock confirmed that it is being developed.
I can't seem to find a pattern to this bug, except that low PQ planets never seem to have any improvable tiles. The low PQ planets need improvements the most, so I hope that this can be fixed for the next Beta.
It is unfair that the currently retarded AI can colonize planets with a garbage PQ (like PQ 2 and 3 planets!) and have those planets extend their ship ranges. I am proposing the following: 1) A colony does NOT extend the effective range of your ships if it does not have a Starport constructed on the colony 2) The construction cost for a Starport should be MUCH MUCH higher than it is currently. This would mean that a colony will have to possess a reasonable industrial capacity t
How about letting the user upgrade their stats when a new level is reached on a ship (ala RPGs), but you can only upgrade a stat that is This is exactly what I would like to see. Excuse me? What exactly
