winamp rip of TreeTog's Gemini skins? in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

I just noticed this on the winamp site. A skin called "Gemni". The author says he based it on an ICQ skin that he liked. I saw no permission on the webpage or in the readme.txt file. It's rather old too, going back to 2001 The zip file also contains the origianl ICQ skin, which has no readme.txt or permission file that I can see either. http://classic.winamp.com/skins/detail.jhtml?componentId=72057

*.dxtheme files are really zip files so you can open them with something like ObjectZip or WinZip and get at them that way

Well, I've only seen it happen on this one computer. Never on any others, and it only happens once in a while, and just reapplying it again corrects it. I've been using IconPackager for years and other than this little glitch have never had a problem

I've seen that happen occasionally on my desktop icons (My Computer, My documents) Hitting load an apply to apply the icon set again seems to fix it. I have no idea why it happens in the first place though

You need the WindowBlinds program. http://www.windowblinds.net Once it's installed and running, you can double-click the windowblinds skins files and they'll automatically get copied to the right place. Then, you can go to your Windows Display Properties, select the Appearance or Skin tab, select the skin from the dropdown list and press the apply button

When someone posts a message to a thread, that thread moves to the top of the message board's thread list. People often use the word "bump" when they don't have a particular message to add to the thread but want the thread to be moved up to the top of the list so that the thread will catch they eyes of other people. It doesn't have to be the word "bump" it could be anything.

I'd also include Winstep (NextStart and Workshelf) as well. What about Trillian? I don't know if it meets your criteria of "been around awhile" but I think it certainly meets the other criteria

Regarding photoshop or lack thereof, one of my favorite wb skinners, Shawn Murdock, only worked in PaintShop Pro and created some of the most tasteful,elegant skins. Alas, he seems to have dropped out of the skinning community. His Sigma series alone are some of the greatest WB skins ever created, IMHO.

Though you must select the Subterfuge Plus Sub Design. It adds three buttons to the bottom windows: Trans, Min to SysTray, and Always on Top Rollup is on the upper left corner of the window.

It depends by what you mean by themes, as there are different skinniable apps and their corresponding skins. I assume you mean themes that change the Windws titlebars, startmenus and so on. In that case you need the WindowBlinds program http://www.windowblinds.net Once you have that installed and running, you can download WindowBlinds skins (they end in .WBA) Double-clicking them automatically installes them.
