There are freeware RSS window apps you can use. Add the feed to the list and i'tll periodically check for updates and display the news for you. Click on a news item and it displays in the embedded web browser. If you have WB set to show a systry icon (you can configure that in the WB config dialog box) you can rightclick the tray and select the About menu option to see the version number

SDC does display this as well. It's in the Register Prodcuts tabbed dialog. You can display it either by clicking Registration Info in the bottom right corner of SDC or from the Tools menu, select Register Products In Register Prodcuts, select the Object Desktop tab. You don't create a brand new type of smart button (unless you want code one up) but you can select from pre-existing smart buttons. Some logon files found here are actually zip files that contain the actual logon files. This is because the author has created multiple versions of the logon file for different resolutions. To verify this, open the logon file you downloaded with a zip utility and see if it actually contains other *.logonxp files. If so, then extract and use the one appropriate for your resolution.

I'm not sure the proper answer to your problem but you could try this: Open up the xptheme file with a zip program (since that what an xptheme file really is) You should find all the various skins in in appropraite folders within the zip file. You can copy them from the zip file to the appropriate location. (for instance the windowblinds skin file to your program files/object desktop/windowblinds/pixOS directory )

I've had this problem before on another PC, and now I've noticed it on my current one. When attempt to save an image (either rightclick or save as), the File Save dialog only allows it to be saved as a BMP file and defaults the name to "Untitled" an no longer shows jpg in the file type drop down list and no longer shows the name in the file list. This is very fustrating when I go to save a wallpaper jpeg from Dev Art for instance

Yes as Paxx pointed out, the history feature in Trillian Pro is terrific. Being able to scroll back up the chat window to see the pervious conversations is extremely useful. What is also nice is the URL grabber.Trillian automatically checks the conversations for any URLs and maintains a list of them.
