Good summary list. FYI all of the bugs have been reported in one thread or another and beta 3 will be out in a week :)

hey at least you found it you can't be that incompetent and if bad spelling was a shootable offense there would be about 5 people left in the world. :) :) :) :) :) :)
1. Maybe have an advanced option screen for these type of settings 2. Not sure how hard 80% is until I try it :) Might be worth in beta allowing us to change this to try and balance the setting.
You are right Arturus. I knew the idea came fro somewhere ;)
typo correction reduce by 5 for planets within 3 sectors
SuperNova, wipes out all planets within 1 adjacent sector and reduces planet class by 10 for planets within 2 sectors and by 5 for planets within 1 sector. Sector is left with a black hole that eats all ships entering it. Could be scaled down a little for smaller galaxies. New tech added late in the tech tree to utilize a black hole for various enhancements. SpaceRift that sweeps through a sector making ships disappear. Tech added to understand spacial rifts. Currenlty Galciv will pick up any changes to the data files and any new data files in the data folder, this can make applying and removing mod's a challenge. If however there was a mod folder under the data folder that either had a folder for each mod or a mod description file that listed the mod files. You could then choose on the game setup screen what mod's where in effect. This I think will greatly help in managing the mods. This seems about the right time to start think about these
I also have had some crashes that showed nothing in the debug.err file and are at various events. (First contact with alien race, alien race declares war, trying to open planet after concuring it) SE would help in tracking down these types of bugs. I would be willing to try to install a experimental version of SE or even an old version.
managed to get a little further this weekend but not as far as I wanted. Add a pages for an Ability Summary List. -This lists all the abilities you can improve. Added in pages for each Ability. - These pages show research and projects that improve that ability Here is a link to the Ability Summary List http://webpages.charter.net/trevorpowdrell/abilitylist.htm
TECH 47 Morphing has soldiering spelt solidering
Zealot a Mac does not help with the OS/2 version. Not sure it is for sale anymore or even in production.
Master Lame some of your suggestion have been good if the focus was on combat. Galciv is not a combat game. It is an empire building game in which combat can play a part. There was a lot of discussion early on about the direction the game would take. Brad (Frogboy) put a lot of detail into what he envisioned the game would be and why he did not want the combat to become tactical. The beta has just started to implement some of the things Brad envisioned and at the moment has a combat foc
Just another plug for my website. I have a few more ideas I am hoping to work on this week end. In the mean time enjoy. As always any and all suggestions are welcome. http://webpages.charter.net/trevorpowdrell/start.htm
Lucky Jack its called Tir-Quan Training. :) Ugh DarkHelmet I have trouble keeping track of ships never mind the crew on the ships. :)
Brad I think you need to switch DrenginInfluence and Your Influence as it stands the more influence I have the smaller the save roll. If Your sector influence: 204 Drengin sector influence: 104 rand ()% is 50% StarSystemResistance = 50 ulInfluenceSaveRoll = (50% (104 - 204)) + 50 = 0; Which is less than 50 :( If it is reversed ulInfluenceSaveRoll = (50% (204 - 104)) + 50 = 100; Which is more than 50. I hope the mini
Lol between me starting to write my response and actually hitting submit two other people responded. :)
During work hours the board is not that active as most people are at work. The game is still in beta but playable with some major features still being worked on. With the future developments planned it will be a great game. Diplomacy is not complete in the current build. Although Stardock does not impose a NDA it is difficult to give advice about purchase of the game seeing as it is not finished yet. My advice is that if you are interested in being involved in th
I like the large scale building requirement. Maybe make one of the upgrades able to add more room and have it depend on large scale building.
Thinking about this. How about the equivalent of the planet morale as foreign influence. When a planet is captured the foreign influence gets set to 0 and each turn the influence builds by a certain amount until at 100% you take over the planet. The influence increase can then be adjusted based on ships in orbit, social projects etc
I think there should be a limit but 3 seems a little low
I think the honeymoon period makes sense as it would take awhile for the cultural influence to re-assert itself on a new population especially one that has just fought to take over the planet.
A better way might be to put a cap on the maximum that the abilities can be improved by bonuses.
I am going to bump this. Please any comments are welcome. What would people like to see over to help them play Galciv ?
I have had a ship that got the -1 moves problem. I could then move the ship an unlimited amount that turn. The negative number just kept increasing.
I did see that in the CorModules.SBMODULES that MicroFighters had a module requirement that did not exist - "AdvancedTurrets".
