ThinkSync is reporting that it is expired. Can this be fixed. I actually use this product.

Yep, the space sharks are very nasty and very hard to beat. Someone posted an idea to lead them to the evil alien and see they might cause him damage. A little good news is that you don't often see the space sharks.
Planets below 15 are very risky as you have found out. The morale for them is very had to keep high enough so that they do not defect. One possiblity would be to buy outright or lease the soil upgrade and habit improvement rather than build them slowly. Other idea would be just stay away from planets that low.
That is one is just blank. You are missing anything ~SDC~
There are many different classes of planets. I have seen some up to 26. Different star system also have varying amounts of influence. ~SDC~
I haven't used it but once the game has started hit esc. You get a save and status menu. On that meneu is a reference to the mp3 player. ~SDC~
If you attack a planet with your ships no combat shows. If you are strong enough the shield on that planet disappears after you have destroyed the ships orbitting the planet. If you are not strong enough then your ships explode and disappear. If you attack a ship in space you will see the ships fire at each other. ~SDC~
No way to keep them from gettin the planent other thatn to attack and destory the other colony ship. But then you are at war with that civilization. Best option would be to build (or buy/lease) colony ship and get there first.
If you download the windowed version it does not overlay the full screen version so you will still have both and can run either. I also run on a 19in monitor at 1280 by 1024 and both versions seem fine to me. ~SDC~
There are many things you can research to improve trade. Also there are a lot of modules for starbases that increase the value of trade going thur the starbase's sector. ~SDC~
I found the release candidate had much more polish and was much more playable. Very hard to stop pressing the turn button. All the extra graphics really spice it up visually.
Built my first terror star. Cool looking. Since I was at war with the Torians I thought I'ld try it out. It only moves one movement a turn. Since the closest Torian planet was at least 5 sectors away, the way was long over by the time the terror star got to its destination. It is a great weapon, but takes way to long to get anywhere to be of much value.
Sorry, it failed 2 times in a row like this, but on the third try it works. Blame it on windows. Like the new speed on the opening.
Just downloaded 5B. Started the program and initial screen comes up. Doors open really fast as compared to 5A or before. However once the doors open no text is displayed and the computer is locked up tight. Power off is only option. Using Win98SE.
I to have seen this with constructors. If I have several moving on autopilot toward a starbase 1 always seems to lose autopilot about 4 moves away.
I have a P3 500 with 256mb RAM. I never play gigantic but do usually play hugh. The the delays are not bad with this size system and galaxy size.
I have seen the same thing. Saving, quiting, and reloading fixed it for me also.
I second Lucky Jack's suggestion of using white text. I have a hard time reading the text with its current color. Although I do admit to being slightly color impared so it may just be me.
I have notice particularly in beta 4c and 4b that the range of colony ships really limits the number of star systems I can colonize. I can find them in time, but my colony ships just can't get there. Any chance of more range for colony ships?
I must have been getting the rename by accident and not noticing. The last disband I tried did work. Thanks Lucky Jack.
Make that three freezes. Systemed locked up this time when pressing space bar to get to next ship to move.
I have gotten that sometimes. I will double check.
I was disbanding defenders too.
I have in the last two days had to system freezes with the lastest beta. System just locks up only powering off ends the problem. Have not tried to play since the last freeze so could send in debug info assuming there is any.
In the lastest Beta4.. Disband a ship appears to work for the turn you are in, however the ship is still there next turn. This is disband via the red x.
