This is also true of stacked ships after a battle, except for being a bit random. Kill one ship in a stack and the ships in that tile vanish. Hover the pointer over the tile and the tooltip tells you there is a ship there. Attack the tile and you get the attack window., Click on the tile and the ship(s) re-appear.

Excellent idea.
¿Really? I thought it was who was stronger. Who knows how it is now though...Gaunathor!!!
All defense functions do is to reduce the damage caused by the other ship(s). If you don't have at least some weaponry you won't damage the other ship(s) and they can whittle away your defenses with impunity until your unit dies. BTW, that's the way it was in GC1 and GC2 as well.
Well...pixals are tiny and square like and can make convincing circles. but I like hexs, but hate the zig zag.
Someone from StarDock said he didn't like the zig-zag either and said when they get to finallizing the pathfinding that they will see what they can do about it. I don't remember if I saw this on this forum or in one of the "Dev Streams".
Mmm there is a way but it involves bring up the console make sure you click on said item to be destroy first use ~ to bring up the console then type in destroy and hit the enter button. Alot of work if you ask me!
Nor would this be reasonable for the final product. However, with everything being so incomplete, I am hoping this will become a command just like it was in GC1 and GC2.
Crashed after I pressed "next turn". Ticket #KFN-769-37666.
Having just had a whole bunch of crashes myself and partially solved them, I have to ask: What graphics card are you using and what driver level. I just backed off a beta level driver and saw a reduction in the number of crashes I was getting. I have a GeForce GT 640 with 12G display memory and was on the latest beta driver. I am now on driver level 337.88. More questions -- could the number of ships you have be a factor? What size galaxy
I find it difficult to buy the idea that an empire would build a manufacturing site in such an exposed space that was unable to defend itself,, whether that defense was part of its own structure, part of an adjunct mechanism that accepts and enhances defending units, or both. After all, just look at what an attractive target such a weak, exposed, and expensive construct it would be. Certainly its function alone (building aggressive attack units) would be reason enough to make it a high value
It looks like the new ticket I tried to create for this data got added to ticket #UVC-428-11593. Also, not all of the files got uploaded.
Not yet. That is, I hope they will be adding that later. I miss being able to decommission them too.
One thing lost with the introduction of starports is the ability to choose how many colonists or troops to populate colony ships and transports. And, has anyone figured out yet where these people are coming from? Are they all coming from one planet? Which one? Or are they coming from all of the sponsoring planets equally or proportionally to what the population is on each sponsoring planet or ????
I had a spaceport with a lot of sponsors. When I tried to add three more sponsors, it crashed on the third one. I tried to open a ticket on this but the submission crashed with the messages: We encountered a problem (cross-site request forgery detected); please try again <div class="dialogerrorconte
I would also like to point out that their vulnerability is far to great to buy into. It is going to leave this part of the game so frustrating that the fun of the game will vanish entirely.
what you could do is drag the 6+ project on the list up and drop it in the 5th or 6th spot that will push the current 5th project down to 6th and so on. its annoying but will work you can use the mouse wheel to scroll down the list but its not sensitive enough atm so it takes a lot of scrolling to move very little
Yes, I know about this trick. But the previous builds had a scroll bar on the queue that has somehow vanishe
I found that starports are very easy to distroy, costing 0 damage to my ship when I killed an enemy starport. I think the vulnerability of starports is going to be a very difficult problem to balance out. My suggestion is to allow smaller "defense" ships to be built on planets and starports and allow them to "dock" in the starports, and/or allow defensive modules to be built on starports.
There is no scroll bar on the manufacturing queue and it is impossible to shift a project further down in the queue than the first six slots.
Larsenex, just to be sure that my attempt at rolling back my GPU driver worked could we please compare release levels? GeForce Experience shows my driver as version 337.88 dated 5/26/2014. Yours? Oh, and I turned off the "Beta GPU" switch in GeForce Experience.
I am using "GeForce Experience". Does anyone know how to tell this thing to back off a beta driver?
While examining the tech tree GC3 0,30 crashed. I sent the SDSupporttool output zip file and other data to StarDock as ticket #MCC-658-37001
I have read here in the past that GC3 is using the SteamWorks facilities for gathering pertinent data about GC3 programming exceptions and transmitting the pertinent files to StarDock for evaluation. Just today, I asked about this in the GC3 chat room and was told I should open StarDock tickets anyway and run a data gathering tool to create a zip file to attach to the ticket. So what gives? Is the SteamWorks support working or not? Or is the Steamworks support lacking in some
This thread has extensive information on trouble shooting and reporting crashes. After reading it you should be able to find the debug.err file and dump file, and be able to create other files the StarDock devs have found to be useful and needed to solve crashes and other bugs.
Another obvious question: Are you using the TAB key to advance to ships that still have movement points left? Yes, I realize these questions are obvious, and most players know about it, but frankly, I am having difficulty imagining what else could be getting in the way. On the other hand, there should be some way to force "next turn" without having to complete all of the tasks that can block going to the next turn. I tried "CTRL-ENTER", "ALT-ENTER", and "SHIFT-E
WOW. How about that. DxDiag shows a different date and version number than GeForce Experience does. Once I understood that I realised you and I are using the same level driver. GE shows "Geforce 340.43 Driver" and "Release date 6/17/2014 Version 340.43" and DxDiag shows "Driver Version: 9.18.13.4043" and "Driver Date/Size: 6/12/2014 19:47:35, 17553032 bytes". Before NVidia released GE, all we had to go on was what DxDiag gave us. I imagine what GE gives us is the way NVidia want
Another factor is how far you are zoomed in or out.
I unlocked the techs using the debug console so I could get an idea of what ships are available and what their designs were. When I was done I couldn't find a command to undo the unlock. Is there one?
