I am currently having difficulty with the report of a bug for lack of sufficient autosaves. The recreation of an issue that is tightly dependent on probability can be rather daunting when there are only two autosaves, particularly if the effect of a bug is not noticed for several turns (during Alphas and Betas I always set the autosave interval to one turn). Other games permit the player to set the number of autosaves to be saved. Please do this for GC3. I would like to set it to somewhere be

In the very first window that appears when starting GC3, the one with the copyright statements at the bottom says; "Galactic Civilizations is a trademarks of ...." Which should read "Galactic Civilizations is a trademark of ..." and "This Alpha may contains .... " should read "This Alpha may contain ..." Also, this sentence may present itself better as two sentences.
And I thought I was cynical. Anyway, cynic or not, no pressure produces no results. If one feels strong enough about it apply the pressure regardless of what results you think it may get. At least you will be able to say "at least I tried."
Another duplicate post. Please ignore.

So far as we have seen in the Alpha, when you mouse over a star the word "star" is not added, nor is it added anyplace else I can find, so it looks like what you wish to do will work. However, the rules still say no punctuation (other than spaces), so I guess the apostrophe is out. In looking at how the list was shipped in the Alpha builds, there is no way to associate a star name from the list of star names to any other characteristic of a star at this t

If you use a Symantec product, such as Norton Internet Security, Norton 360, or others, Symantec has a tool that can tell you whether or not a network address you use is safe. I used this tool and checked the Galciv3 and StarDock web sites and received a confirmation that they were safe.
I think what's happening here is that I got spoiled with the Alphas/Betas for GC1 and GC2. Then we had more builds at shorter intervals.
It has been quite a while since build 2 (0.0.2.0) has been released. After listening to Paul's interview of April 15, I am now wondering if there are builds that I have not gotten and what reasons I may not have received them. So what is the most recent build level that has been released through Steam? I am currently on 0.0.2.0.

Well, after all this time I have a text problem, but by the appearance, it doesn't look like a graphics issue. One project in one colony's production queue has what looks like a formula high in the turns left column and a number low in the same field. Edit: I find I am no longer able to insert BMP pictures here. Save/restore of the game does not clear the text up. Edit2: I can recreate this at will by upgrading a completed "missionary center" to a "Enligh

Are you sure you don't mean version 0.0.2.0? I have been waiting for a new build for a couple of weeks now, but the last I saw was the Alpha build 2. Could what you are seeing be resolution size related? Or could this be a windowed/full screen issue?
I have seen this also, and it required an action similar to de-orbiting from a colony. So another possibility, since there are some new things about starbases, is that the constructor gets docked at the starbase similar to going into orbit at a colony planet, just like any other ship, and the movement is needed to allow it to do the update function. If this is the case, I have a suggestion: Add an option for leaving a starbade to allow an update function along with the eject option if the shi
I am hoping this issue comes under the heading of "things to come" since in GC1 and GC2 the planet list, ship list, and starbase list had many sort options such as "name", "class", "population", "owned", "unowned", "production", etc. etc. etc.. I can't imagine GC3 not eventually having many sort options for these lists.
OK. Thanks. I hadn't seen it when it got posted, but I had to make sure.
Is the display of the tech tree still a work in progress? I am finding the research mechanism very hard and confusing. I find not being able to look ahead to see where I want to direct my research frustrating. Between how the research tree is displayed in 0.0.2.0 and in GC2 I think the GC2 format is vastly superior.
On the planet list, would it be possible to highlight an "empty queue" condition where it lists the project being worked on? Some color other than black would be a big help.
I have several stacks of enemy ships that my ships can not attack. The game just won't let the attack happen. These stacks contain 30 ships and a fleet of 5-7 ships, totaling 35 to 37 ships per stack. These stacks apparently are so full that when the enemy launches a ship from orbit the ship goes to another tile and starts building another stack. I have a save file and will open a ticket to send the save file to support.
