No seems to be the game being slow responce not our system.
Nukar, after further thought I realize I owe you an apology. My response was curt and abrupt. I should not have responded as I did. I know you are only trying to help and I appreciate it. However, perhaps I should explain my credentials. I have spent 28 years in the programming industry (I have been retired for the last 14 years). I have spent much of that time
I really should play a game where I just build up and see how the game holds itself at larger scale. I always just rush my enemies and make a quick work of the game. For the sake of testing I should stop that.
So do I, and so should I. This game is the most fun I have seen for an Alpha, especially this early.
No seems to be the game being slow responce not our system.
Sorry, but I don't find this answer acceptable. I see this as a bug. It should not happen.
I beleive this is more an overall issue where the game isnt keeping up with player speed. aka not updating fast enough
Maybe, but on my PC I don't think so. The game still hasn't used more than a third of the power available to it, and the turns are lightning fast.
Sometimes when I grab a scroll bar to drag it to where I want it, the scroll bar will stick to the mouse pointer when I release the mouse button and not remain where I wanted to leave it.
Ooops. Missed that. Sorry.
I have upgraded my market centers to trade centers, but after researching the tech that gives me colonial banks I find that neither market centers nor trade centers will upgrade to colonial banks. What is the intent with this
Thanks for the feedback! This is a known issue and we are currently working on the planetary generation system at this time.
Thanks.
I have found a problem with the economy wheel. As the available resources increase, precise setting of the wheel's results becomes increasingly difficult, to the point where precision becomes impossible. Some additional control of the movement granularity is needed.
If I have a ship selected and move the mouse pointer to a nearby colony, as expected, I get the data for the colony in a tooltip. <img src="data:image/bmp;base64,Qk0YlAQAAAAAADYAAAAoAAAAkAEAAPoAAAABABgAAAAAAOKTBAASCwAAEgsAAAAAAAAAAAAAb3yGZHB8a3F6g3t0j4R6jImSh4iglJCrlI+rko+pop+0n5yzn5yznJqynZywnpywm5uymZqwlJWqj5Cmfn+VtrbCt7fEuLfEubrGvb3Lvb3LurrIubnGurzHu73Ggoubc4CQaHmGZHaCYXmCXnuAX3uAYnyAZH2AZn6BaICCa4SGcouPdpCSeJKSepWUfZeWf5mXgJmYfZWUcIiHZ39+aYGAaHx/W210TlxnUFpmS1FgV19v
Similar to the great point that Econundrum1 made. The reason you are seeing this is because the prefs file is wiped at the start. We do this to reduce the amount of critical issues that could arise and prevent player from being able to play the game. This will happen early in development and continue until it becomes less of a needed preventative measure. Thanks for the feedback!
Come to think of it, I remember this happening
Great catch! Right now the survey ship behavior is still in early development. We will work on polishing up this behavior and I appreciate your feedback!
Thanks, Raynman.
I just captured a planet (Altaria), PQ=12, that only has 11 buildable tiles.
In GC2 the terraformable tiles (yellow bordered) were not counted against the planet quality. Instead, the terraforming of those tiles INCREASED the planet's PQ. So far, in GC3, it looks like the yellow bordered tiles count against the planet's PQ. This doesn't make sense. I also have a PQ 6 planet with only 4 buildable tiles (no terraformable tiles).
I think its just basically due to the fact it belongs to the other empire if it's in its influence. I could be wrong though.
I have colonized planets that were in another race's zone of influence. A response I saw from StarDock makes me think they have a handle on what the problem is.

When one of my ships parks on the same tile as another of my ships they often form a fleet automatically. If I had not intended to form a fleet of these ships it becomes necessary to disband the fleet manually. Is this temporary?

When a survey ship on auto survey examines an anomaly and still has move points left, it doesn't use up the remaining move points, and the "next turn" button is allowed to show up. EDIT: This is on 0.0.2.0, but I think it also happened on build 1.
After steam downloaded today's update (0.0.2.0) all of my options settings were reset to the defaults. Is this going to be normal for the Alpha, or even the Beta?
All of those fixes with so little code?

I agree. Having a user defined default amount that was modifiable mid-game would be very useful. I like the current display for choosing the amount.
