Well, I'm collaborating on a skin with Hippy, drinking lots of coffee, and thinking about what my next skin will look like. Hmm, why do I only work on one skin at a time? There are two ways to install icon packages. Either change the file extension to .ip and then double-click it, or open IconPackager, click the Install New Package button, and browse for the zip file. As for installing WindowBlinds skins, simply open display properties, go to the Appearance tab (that would be the Skins tab on non XP systems) and click the Add button. I don't use ACDSee, but I've never noticed any slow downs with Outlook Express. Do you know you can exclude programs from being skinned? You can even set WB to only skin titlebars on certain programs. These features should make it usable for you. Several years and nearly 2000 skins later, I think WB is more than just a great concept. There is a setting in your WindowBlinds options to always use the taskbar/start menu from a skin of your choosing. You probably checked off the box without realizing it. Open your Display Properties and go to the Advanced tab. Next, click the Advanced button. In the upper right corner of the window that opens, you should see a checkbox labeled "Always use the XP taskbar defined in ..." I'm not sure what you mean by 'shutdown menu', Tarkus. Are you referring to the window that comes up when you click on Turn Off Computer, asking you if you want to Stand By, Restart, or Shut Down? I think I see tooltips there, but I was mainly referring to when I hover over my desktop icons with the icon text hidden.
