Soon - sorry, we want to add in more lore elements to it, but we're also trying to get everything ready for early access later this month. It's coming though!
Yarlen
Don't know honestly, but every processor since 2011 supports it, so should be fine with the min spec.
I'm working on it. It's going to be a bit, I'm doing a lot of art-type stuff which is not my strong suit.
You will need to be connected to the Internet for installation. You may also be required to be connected for EGS itself to launch the game - that I don't know much on yet.

I need to post something to see if my account from the old Sins forum transferred over to here properly with the ne
Yes, there will be LAN support.
Well, it wouldn't be until well past ship if it ever happened at all.
Umm, hmm. That raises certain legal questions but it's not outside the realm of possibility. Depends on a lot of specifics.
Hmm, probably not in the cards but who knows?
General FYI - I'd suggest creating separate threads for new questions just to make it easier for new folks to find stuff. :) In order... AI: I don't know yet. Ask again in a few months. Multithreading: Multi-threaded, multi-core, 64-bit. :) Modding: Later on (i.e., next year) we hope to invite some of the major Sins 1 modders to start on porting their work over.
Not that we have planned, but it's far too soon to say.
@yarlen can we get an annual beer festival that improves or lowers diplomacy. Kind of like a dice roll?
Heh, no. But feel free to mod that in.
Thanks for the heads-up!
There's still diplomacy in the game, but it's been updated. I can't say much for now but... I feel Machiavelli would be pleased.
I'm probably looking at once a month right now, so expect the next one in October. :)
No, this isn't something folks should expect.
Firstly, thank you for starting work on the Sequel to one of my favourite games of all time. From what I understand the game will be similar to the original other than, moving turrets, moving star systems (interesting), and obviously the Graphics.. At least that is all I have read. 1. Do you intend to have all the content that is in the Current Rebellion +DLC after EA? And then have it as a "remaster"? Or do you intend to redo cert
There won't be, at least initially. As DLC, who knows? It depends on if enough folks want it and if we think we could do a good job with it.
Yes, multiplayer and modding will be platform agnostic. Multiplayer will be done via the cloud using our own server setup and modding will be hosted via our own internal Tachyon system.
Just in time for candy treats! :D
I believe so, but I need to verify that...
Currently we don't have any plans to prevent streaming of EA builds. We assume folks will regardless of what we say. :D
Not until sometime after final release.
A 'classic' mode isn't in the cards. However, multiplayer is getting a lot of attention.
We've stated as much as we're going to on this subject.
