I suspect it's going to get delayed a couple more weeks. Stardock is physically moving locations in the next several days to a new building. That's probably going to disrupt things as well.

DesktopGadgets.com is nearly ready. Stay tuned!
There's a free version to try. But you do ultimately have to buy at least the run-time version ($14.95).
The new DesktopX 3 documentation is available here: https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/documentation/index.html
Any way you could post a link to it so we coudl take al ook at it?
If you want to make a suite, just load up Theme Manager and then go to file->save desktop. Voila.
Which page are you trying to open?
When the person creates the widgets they have to specify whether it supports multiple instances or not. It's something that only the author of the widget can decide. YOu could import the widget into DesktopX and then re-export it with it supporting multiple instances and see if that works.
I've never seen a case where a game gets tabbed out before. But most themes are custom-tailored to a person's desktop so they do require some tweaking to get set up for your own computer. You wouldn't need to program anything, just right click and change the target. The biggest thing is to make sure you run at the resolution that the theme was designed for.
Once upon a time there was a skinner named Xenon who was working on a great skin called..
When you go out, do you have a favorite drink? I am pretty partial to Margaritas myself but also like a good Dachery. :)
That did it. I'm in the game.
I just installed DirectX 9c. I get the game loaded and pick my opponents, galaxy size, etc. Then during galaxy cration the game dies with a "buffer overrun" error. I have an SMP box but other than that it should be a pretty standard setup. Did you try tools->check for updates?
Try playing as humans.
That's normal.
Works if I play as human. But non-human it's having problems.
How much of Stardock's success is due precisely because Brad (Frogboy) has been so persistent and strenuous in advocating stuff?
Branded Computer Desktops: The New Marketing Strategy Harris Interactive and Teenage Research Unlimited conducted a survey for Yahoo Inc. proving that teenagers and young adults spend more time in front of their computers than watching television or listening to the radio. To be more effective, marketers must shift their advertising strategy to include the growing
How about a widget where the user types in a letter and it returns the ASCII code? Could be quite useful for developers of various sorts.
I'd like to be able to type in my area code and have it bring up a nice, visually pleasing guide of what's on my local TV stations and cable stations. Anyone up for that?
I'd like to be able to enter in a zip code or area code or city, basically like the weather thingy, but have it tell me what time it is. Often I'm chatting with people on IRC and I have no idea what time it is there where they live. If I could type in "Rome, Italy" and have it tell me what time it is here, that would be very handy.
Would it be possible to make a widget in which you type in a zip code and a second zip code and it would tell you how far away the location is?
SkinYourScreen.com has an indepth interview with Stardock's CEO, Brad Wardell.
If Microsoft had made .msstyles an open format for people to use and made it freely available for other people to make skins with then I think there would be a valid point to be discussed. But skinners to choose to use msstyles to skin are already violating someone else's intellectual property rights...microsoft's. There are a ton of people using programs like Style XP. No doubt the people making that program have made a lot of money off the
