I would like to know if all 14 races can be played from the sandbox mode in the expansion?

I started the game as the Thalan. For some reason the A.I controlled Arcean are now called the Thalan too.
Would that mean individual ship sets for each race?
I have never met the Dreadlords in the game.I'm not a campaign player.I only play sandbox and I would love to see the Dreadlords make an appearance in the sandbox mode as an event. This is my wish for 1.2.
I see lots of stuff like city building,rts,4X.etc,but each part appears to have little depth.I don't buy the hype.
My only Ironman rule is no sensor ships, because the A.I doesn't use them.
Leave multiplayer to FPS games, where they belong. We want all the effort to go on singleplayer A.I and features, aka Spying. The people have spoken.
Brad should help the A.I by purging the ability to make sensor ships, which are a human exploit.I say only one sensor per ship allowed. Starbases should be the long range finders in the game, which the A.I can be programmed to use, unlike sensor ships.
I will surely buy an expansion if it was just features for SP games. I will not buy either a multiplayer esp or multiplayer+some SP features esp.
It's here http://www.computerandvideogames.com/reviews/
I thought it ment the player was Militaristic, and the A.I don't like that ?
Yes, Beta2 has improved the war crazy A.I.Much better.
Happy with the beta.My only beef is the A.I saying it's giving you starships but gives you starbases instead.I don't see the point of the A.I giving away starbases, this should be changed. The A.I is giving away priceless resource starbases all the time in my games. Not good.
When you become a competent player in GC2 you get just a many planets as the K.I and just as much research also.I think the big statements about cheating come from players who are not very good yet. And what's all this German hate towards GC2.Giving this game 62%,ect is a disgrace.
There should be some penalty to breaking alliances also.It just seems to dam easy to abuse A.I alliances for your own agenda, he helps you,you never help poor A.I.
The red lines in the diplomacy screen while playing 1.1 reminds me of the beta. The A.I is war crazy. It actually makes it very easy for the Human player to win.You just watch the A.I kill each other and choose a weak target.
"the AI is a weak point IMO (they really need to put multiplayer in so we can get a challenge" Ahh, a troll with an agenda.
I have no problem if the A.I surrendered if they only had 2 or 3 crappy planets left with no military. But they are surrendering with 6 or more planets left, more than 50% of their economy intact. This has ruined many of my games.I don't expect this anoyance in a single player game. I would like this option.
The A..I's in this build seem warwongers. The Yor were struggling in a war vs 2 A.I players and then they decide declare war on myself. This is silly and kills the A.I. Tone down the A.I war madness in general, the diplomacy screen is just red lines. The A.I should only be fighting one enemy at a time.Like the Human player would.
I recall folk from Stardock saying there would be different looking soldiers, tanks for each race.It never happend.
Great stuff! A minor annoyance is Earths name is still mentioned in the GNN election preview when playing Alien scum.
Your only borders are your planets. The coloured lines you see are you influence borders.Space is to dam big to control any sort of border. You are not talking about a land based border system on tiny planets like Earth, that games like Civ4 cover.
The troops become the security force on the newly conquered planet.
It was the thought that counts.
I also find weekly turns a turn off I also cast my vote for monthly turns.
