At the moment, it's the full retail Collectors Edition box.

I'm afraid not. No DirectX. Only Mac software coming from us in the next 6-months or so is Multiplicity.
The non-human players have Stellar Cartography (sp). They know where the stars are, but not the planets around them. If you play as one of the other races, you'll have it as well.
It's been 18 hours since you posted. On a weekend. The devs are watching.
There isn't a new Core ship design (i.e. bundled with the game) for every tech you open up. If you want a Titanium-plated Defender, you'll need to buy it.
Ignore the 1.0E. As Darth Kryo said, it was how we were testing the build before making it generally available. Only gamma testers can see it.
It goes via the US Postal Service, so I'm afraid we don't have a tracking number. You should have a temp serial if you wanted to download and start playing in the meantime. If you ignore the movies and multimedia, it's about 150MB to download the base game.
I believe Brad has posted in another thread how to do a sort of "hot-seat" game.
Here: https://www.stardock.com/files/galciv2manual.pdf
The game is using Direct3D. WindowBlinds ignores it by default. Create a wbdbg.ini file in the ThemeManager or WindowBlinds directory with the content below, that should sort it. [galciv2.exe] ActiveFix=1 DirectXisOk=1
The game requires a minimum resolution of 1024x768. If your desktop is at that resolution and you are playing in a window, you're playing in a full-screen window. Which as noted above, maybe happier with alt-tab for some people. You can also force windowed mode by creating a shortcut like: "C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\GalCiv2.exe" w Be sure the working directory for the shortcut is set to the appdir as well.
... I believe you got 1 tech from each race, no?
Interesting. I saw that once, but was never able to reproduce it. It seemed to be a blend of a couple of ship types the one time. Does it persist between save games? Computer config?
I believe 2 of the key values are "distance from your starting planet to the target planet" and the level of industrial capacity at each. Don't hold me to that.
You don't have the Friday update. Does Stardock Central say 1.0D1 is installed? SDC build 120 in Help / About? Apply the standalone update from the downloads page, please. Debug Message: Version v1.0 Digital: Bonus Pack last updated on: Mon Feb 20 19:04:13 2006
Build another Constructor vessel and send it there.
I'm afraid there doesn't seem to be a way to show legitimacy with McAfee. In the GalCiv2 readme, this situation is specifically mentioned (as it came up in testing). Simplest solution would be to create a shortcut to GalCiv2.exe directly and bypass the gadget. Make sure the shortcut you create has the working directory set the to GalCiv2 dir as well.
Perhaps Paypal would be an option as well? We accept that these days (once something is released, it can't be used for pre-orders).
Septe, please uninstall and scorch any remanants of older betas. You're on an ancient build. Search for GalCiv2.exe. Debug Message: Version v 0.21 (Beta 2 - Build 2) last updated on: Thu Jun 23 10:17:50 2005
brigiton, Eric Wilde, Septe (to a lesser extent), and Silentfury23, all your reports are indicating video drivers > 1 year old. That's a problem, as they may well not support DirectX 9.0c. Silentfury23, it's an ATI chip, is there nothing more recent on ati.com that'll let you update? Same for the rest.
I don't know that there's an in-game UI to reset that. Remove Documents & Settings\%username\My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\prefs.ini and it should skunk all preference changes.
Lower-left of the screen on the main menu indicates the version.
We are trying to figure the optimal solution. The Language/Country setting thing should sort stuff in the interim.
As I understand it, and I could be wrong, it was padded to be able to put some others in (I think the screen is based off the # values for the ordering of them). They didn't make it.
It generates a dynamic serial using the lookup pages, but the base one from your order should work, if it was from the new style 2005 system. If it was one of the older GC2 ones from many months ago, that won't take.
