As of when I post this, everyone in this thread so far should be sorted. I have to sleep at some point, as does support, but we'll pickup tomorrow. Usually it's a missing Stardock.net record or 2 accounts under the same email address.

Brandon71, you don't have a Stardock.net account under that email address. Please goto www.stardock.com/sdnet_login.asp. You're also putting your order number into the field rather than your serial number. Email [email protected] if you're still having problems after sorting this and making sure Stadock Central is using your Stardock.net account into (Tools / Edit Stardock.net

We have rearranged things on the California and -4 server options in Stardock Central to try and redirect the full installs to faster servers. Please try those. We had a bit of an ISP hiccup a few hours ago, but that should be settled now.

What sort of difficulties, Phil? What server are you on in SDC? Not that it should matter, as all the module downloads redirect.

The week we finished GalCiv2, I picked up a copy of Guitar Hero for myself. If it's possible to have negative musical talent, that may well be me, but I've had a blast playing the first 25 "easy" songs. It did take an hour or two to get the hang of things... Like some of the DS games and potentially the Revolution, it's nice to see some new things. Have to pickup a second guitar for competition. Though you should buy GalCiv2 first. In stores this week! <img src="../images/smiles/jok

Soulfire, the last widely available beta build is 2 months old. Compared to the final game, it's like a car frame with an engine and no steering wheel. The gamma testers are in a different category. As for the artificial distinctions about making it available electronically vs. retail, one must take certain larger realities of market forces into account... Pre-load and Tuesday you can unwrap the goodies.

We will start shipping out product after we get it here. Which I don't expect before Monday at best. Everyone who's pre-ordered up through yesterday or ordered since then (electronic or CD) should have a serial number from us now to enable downloading. People with the CD version pre-ordered have temp serial numbers that'll work for at least 30 days from your order, to give the CD time to get there. After that, you'll need to use the CD that came with the box for updates or Metaverse access.

We think we've got the resume stuff happier now. Change made to the servers. If that is not the case for you after 6pm EST Thursday, please email [email protected] and I'll give you a debug build so we can try and narrow things down. An alternative is to use the US - 4 server in the SDC listing, which has been modified for resuming in another fashion as well. Trying to figure out your issue, Drew3077. Please em

I have many ideas, though none of them are put into practice while testing a Stardock Central install under Cedega. If it's failing at the moment of opening the folder (which is a relatively dirt simple bit in the installer to explorer.exe %groupname%), then you've not gotten to the point where 'sdcentral.exe /install' runs to setup some of the various registry keys. Email [email protected] with a way I can know the installer is under... duress... and I can try and account for it

The bit in the SDC installer that calls explorer.exe is to open the folder after everything is installed. It may run from that point. It may not. But it's probably not fatal. It will be up to people with more Cedega/Linux knowledge than me to tell you if the game might run.

If you're living right on the edge with your C drive space, you may wish to explore alternative options to "why must the galciv2 save games go under My Documents." You can compress the directories. Or make a junction point to redirect them elsewhere. I don't know offhand that there's any way to alter the root for the saves. They are per-user based.
