The Pacifist party was the one I selected. I don't understand the comment ". . . they had held a lot of the movies and other things back so when we go 1.0 it would be fresh for all the beta testers." Does this mean they are going to fix bugs before they add the eye candy?

After saving and re-loading the game, the bug fixed itself. LOL It kind of reminded me of the old trade tech bug, where you could trade other empires a tech or two per planet and get them to trade away their every planet. The way I play I need every advantage possible, but that was too much! ;)

Playing the Terrans, somehow my sector influence scores have shot up through the roof. Planets are defecting to me right and left due to my 558405248 sector influence score. While I haven't played in a while, this can't be right. I know that another person reported this, and I looked for the message but could not find it. It might be a good idea to have more than one forum - one for general comments, another for bugs, a third for feature changes/additions, etc. Also, I've heard that

The Yearly Report has the following error: "Our population has changed by -##.# billion over the past year." The population is always negative, even though the population of my empire is growing. Look like there's a simple math error in the calculation of population growth. :notsure:

CyberMage - my first couple of games were in a gigantic map. I could never finish them because of bugs & new game versions (:(, so I started play a medium universe @ cakewalk with idiots for opposition. I finished that one and started my next one with a medium universe at the next harder level with a few average opponents. The next game was slightly harder, as was the next and the one after that. Until you get used to the game, I don't think its a good idea the play larger universes. Its eas

I've noticed that sometimes you are not given the choce to produce nothing in your Social Projects que. This ain't right! Also, periodically some of my ships still refuse to move for a turn. They recover by the next turn, but when you're racing to colonize a planet, you need all the speed you can get. The Eyes of the Universe feature doesn't seem to work right. My sensor drones stopped working correctly. Before the EotU, SD's scanned an entire sector. Afterwards, the SD's

I think being attacked (rather than being the attacker) has to do with your military rating. If you are peace loving and don't build up your military, they attack you. If you are war monging and have the largest military, they leave you be.

Once you collect enough techs through the anomolies, you can easily trade those techs for as many planets, ships and cash as an enemy owns. :not sure: At the Challenging level, I bought off my five opponents in one turn. LOL Also, the Controlled Gravity tech has an ability value of "string not found +10". So does the gravity tech above controlled.

Empires will give up their last planet if you trade them tech. Is this right? :notsure: For some reason, the regeneration tech (sometimes added to a few other techs) is so wonderful that I got four empires to surrender their last planet to me. I don't think that any race would give up merely to get a tech or two. Even if you gave them all your tech, as soon as they give you their last planet they're out of the game. Maybe there should be a message like this "Due to your empire's incredible

Dave Rosen, regarding point 5, have you tried adjusting the proportion you're spending on ship building/colonies/research? Try changing the tax & spending rates as well. In addition to my earlier post, I have this to add: add more randomness/variety! The opposing leaders shouldn't all declare war using the same speal, but should declare war in their own manner Also, add some levity to the game by having the opposing leaders talk to you/insult you in amusing ways ("You whine like an

How many are there, and is there a way to stop these processes from loading automatically at Windows XP start-up? I know that there are at least two, but am wondering if there's a third. I'm having some problems on the boot drive I loaded the game/Drengin.net and am trying to track down the culpurits (not that I'm implying anything by the question! :p ) More likely that not its a Nvidia driver problem.

It would make sense that good races might attack neutral ones. It also makes perfect sense that good races would attack evil ones, even if the evil ones were minding their own business. The opposing races do seem to get a head start, but are unable to maintain it once you start collecting purple nebulas!

It doesn't make any sense to add new features before correcting existing bugs. After the existing bugs are fixed, the feature priority is: 1) Improve the AI, which includes diplomacy 2) Improve and increase the variety of player decisions regarding good and evil. Does making the good choice make any difference now? And could the good/neutral/evil planet colonizations choices be more random, so sometimes it makes no sense not to do the good thing, and other times it makes

I always start at the easiest level and move up as I become more familiar with the game. The AI does seem to be have a great advantage early in the game but falls apart mid game onward. This was true at the cakewalk level, and it seems to be true at the easy level as well. Playing as the Terrans, I've also received threating messages from myself. Some kind of death wish, I take it! LOL
