Beta3b bug... in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

My colony ships keep trying to colonize stars on the way to the ones I auto move them to... it's very annoying seeing as the planets the try to colonize usually only have class 3-5 planets.

I voted for diplomacy in the new poll... but basically I mean the AI being able to use diplomacy effectively, so, I guess I want AI too...

I've had this happen too... all of my 17-22 planets jumped into the 28-32 range for no apparent reason...

You don't loose control, but your bonuses go away and a few negatives are tacked on... I think you get more negatives the less seats you have...

So far once it hung on startup causing me to re-boot my computer... but I think that's because my computer is a piece of crap.

What was wrong here was I had typed my serial number in lower case... and the DGM at the time couldn't understand that. I had to keep on entering my number and it never worked. Finally when I deleted my serial number off of my registry and re-entered it in capital letters, it finally worked...

I understand that part of it... when I couldn't get it working I'll admit I was a bit miffed... but SD support is (usually) pretty quick and they figured out my problem for me and now I'm destroying aliens left and right...

If all else fails, delete DGM and reinstall it and start over... but don't forget the registry! If it's wrong in the registry it doesn't matter what you do it won't work.

Did you do that the first time? You have to go into your registry and delete the serial number and re-enter it... or at least that's what I did... try it and see if it works.

I just got a couple of sweet Star Wars MP3s and I was wondering if there was anyway I could substitute them for the normal game music... because that would rock... Evil theme = Imperial March.. oh yes.

Do you have to re-enter your serial number each time you start the DGM? This happened to me when I bought it, and it was because I typed in my serial number in lower case... I had to delete it from my registry and put it in as upper case...

This may be a coincedence... but do your allies vote with you in the UP? I was in bad relations with everyone except the Yor... and every UP that came up they voted the same as me! That would be cool if this wasn't a coincedence... if you and your allies could form a voting bloc and always get your way!
