HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\DesktopX has a Password value. It's not the actual password. I think if you rename it to say PasswordBak DesktopX will allow you to change back (haven't tried it).

They all do different things. Stardock apps like DesktopX, ObjectBar and WindowBlinds are intended to work with the current shell, whilst others can replace it. WindowBlinds skins windows - it change how the frames, buttons and controls look. On XP it also skins the taskbar and start panel. Ahh. The thing with this is, there was actually an Exile skin bundled with it, and (IIRC) a shareware copy of WindowBlinds. What probably happened is WindowBlinds uninstall got triggered by it. Try reinstalling WindowBlinds?

Umm . . . MS paint is not the pinnacle of graphics programming, Lightningraven. Have a look at Paint Shop Pro ( http://www.jasc.com/products/psp/ ) or Photoshop ( http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/main.html ) or the GIMP ( http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32/downloads.html ) - they are all good programs used widely by skinners.

The site got made over a couple of weeks ago - it's possible a few skins got re-included by accident, in which case probably just deleting them again will get rid of them.
This would probably be better done as a small program. I'm sure you could whip up something that monitored the cursor and moved two always on-top lines around.

If the load from WC got dumped on the other skinning sites, it''d turn into a game of "who folds first". Either that or they''d just turn on bandwidth limits and a lot of users would get their skins slowly, if at all. DeviantArt is about the only place I would say could take it, and even then . . .
