Heh. I made a WB plugin DLL that did your transparency thing back before the GUIO (never got around to using it). About 80% finished - it sets transparency up or down, has maximums and minimums, works when you reopen an app . . . I should really see about putting that in a skin at some point.

It be broke for me. I often seem to get logged out. When you are posting and this happens you get "0" returned, which isn't much use.

You need LogonStudio at https://www.stardock.com/products/logonstudio/download.html - get that and load up one of the files from the Logons section and it should work fine

Well, you could always use this as an incentive to learn how to skin WB. Modifying an existing skin to add them isn't all that hard.

I think this will soon be released as part of a skin suite (which you have to pay for, unfortunately - skinners who want to live their lives skinning have to sell their work). There'll probably be more about it in a few days.

/me laughs As far as I know it''s exactly the same thing as installing WindowBlinds and SkinStudio from ODNT (although I could be mistaken). Look on your appearance tab - you already have add, edit and delete. It''s just marketing/a way to get people to register both at once.

Erm . . . this is called a virus. There's one that scans people's address books and then makes it's mailings appear to have come from people in there.

Also if you're running a virus scanner, try disabling it and rebooting - there have been reports of Norton AntiVirus 4 causing this (remember to turn it back on afterwards ).

Yeah. Please, updated skins are for the box, new ones at the top of the list. If they really want to know, they'll check. I rarely go into the top of the pile anyway - I use the boxes or am searching for something specific.

Photoshop isn't worth it for making skins. I consider PSP to have a better UI and more usable features, but that might just be because I'm used to it. My advice is buy PSP and splash out on better components at the same time, as you'll percieve a greater benefit.

Menu text uses the GreyText attribute, known in SkinStudio as Colours/Selections/Text - Disabled Text. Toolbar buttons don't seem to have an entry in SkinStudio - I would have thought that adding DisabledColour=1 to the UIS file in [Toolbars] (see the Code tab for SkinStudio) would select colour1 as the colour for this, but I'm not sure if it works or not.

jcg: Ratings determine who downloads and uses your stuff. If it's rated 1, nobody who's not logged in will see it, and those who do won't want it.

There is no way to stop programs that use toolbars as "menus" (IE, Explorer) from looking like that unless you make toolbar buttons not look like buttons. If all programs look like that, you need to change the skin so that either the menu buttons are removed, or they they don't look like buttons, either. About the disabled colour - not sure. Are you using the DisabledColour setting for those skin elements?
