When one becomes a 'Sir,' do they get a suit of armor too? And if so, is the armor skinnable?

Yeah, apparently there were server troubles today. Link
According to engadget.com, Windows Vista Ultimate could cost $450USD. Just thought I'd pass that along. ...Yikes! Link
Yep, I use Diskeeper. Works well for me.
Hah the Apple/Creative dispute is a lot more interesting. The way I see it, Apple created the UI for the iPod, but never got a patent for it. Creative, uh, got 'inspired' by the Apple UI, and created their own version and did get a patent. So now Creative can sue Apple. This'll learn ya' for tha next time Apple!
Hm, why would I need to shave a carrot?
If this was such a big problem, why did Veritas not sue Microsoft before they were bought? As I said, I wouldn't be surprised if Symantec bought Veritas so they'd have some type of excuse to sue Microsoft.
Aw, don't be so hard on Symantec. It's much easier for them to sue than create a product that, you know, works.
I think they have to do a few more weeks (months?) of work to do on WC before the GUI Champs go foward. And after that, they'll have to figure out how exactly to hold the GUI Champs. All we can do is wait patiently.
And for that matter, is there a way to drag files over to application shortcuts that are within the dock in order to open that file using that application? Ah, question of the day. At least to me. I emailed Stardock asking for them to include that feature a few months ago. They said it was an 'intere
I bet Symantec bought Veritas just so they could sue Microsoft.
Google Earth + googlesightseeing.com! Oh the hours I've wasted on Google Earth...
2GB of system memory sounds like an awful lot to me. Maybe in 8 or 9 months when Vista comes out (or not) 2GB will be standard...
Any updates about the GUI Champs? Dates? Judges? Programs? etc...
I guess this thread won't die until Vista itself comes out. (whenever that will be...)
Most of the major memory manufacturers like Crucial, Corsair, Kingston, etc., have a configuration tool on th eir websites so you can choose the kind of computer you have (make, model, etc.) and get the memory you need. If your computer is home made, or you don't know what kind of computer it is, or it's not listed in their configuration tool, you'll probably have to get the specifics of your memory (pin count, speed, etc.) and look around f
Heh, why do people always think Apple or Symantec or some other company should sue Microsoft, rather than making a better product. The Urge thing is part of WMP11. Trying to take it out would be like trying to take the iTunes store out of iTunes.
It's what's under the hood. And what's under the hood, at least from what I've read, is pretty impressive. The per-application volume control is reason enough (for me) to buy it.
I've always wanted to tell people I was an architect.
I'd like to see Yahoo widgets here too, but I doubt Yahoo would allow it. We should see how flexible and capable Microsoft and Google 'gadgets' are before they're added to WC. From the previews, MS gadgets aren't anything too spectacular.
After I reformat in the next week or two, I'll be looking around for a new and better AV program. I'll probably go with BitDefender. Anyone have any information on (software) firewalls?
In any one day it's both fast and slow Yep, that's what I'm finding. Are they still doing work on WC?
Why does a game console need such a large hard drive anyway?
I want to use a Black Start Bar, with a certain icon as the start button.. I'd say just start looking around the gallery for what you want. It shouldn't be too difficult to find a skin with a black start bar. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body-Quote
I love these. There's a German made one called "Def Lauf Der Dinge" which blows any other Rube Goldberg piece away. It's a half hour, and it has fire and is made mostly from trash, all sorts of stuff going on. Definately worth watching.
