Alliance require that both you and the AI have that technology. AND the relationship must be CLOSE. Friendly is not enough. If you have it and the AI does not, sell it or give it. Giving it will make you closer, if not continue cultivating the relation by trading and giving tech, carefully!. ~SDC~

confusion between a universal fantasy (low tax) with winning a game? LOL ~SDC~
The kiss principle at work. :CONGRAT: ~SDC~
same here, except i use common habitable planets. ~SDC~
welcome :) ~SDC~
I like it, because it minimize waste. The AI's will love it, as they use the same algorythms. It would also increase the galaxie production level. A penalty of x should be assigned to each production shift to represent setup cost. I think it could work. ~SDC~
1. how did you start the game, what party did you choose, 2. The senate vote was prompted by one of your ship attacking. so you attacked. 3. Usually the senate will support you depending on you approval rating. If it's below 50%, you can loose the vote. ~SDC~
follow the path... http://webpages.charter.net/trevorpowdrell/index.htm ~SDC~
The most significant factor influencing morale is population. At 20% morale, immediately build a colony ship, go in debt even. You only have one shot at this, as the colony is one way. Load up the colony ship with a many colonist that are needed to bring you morale to at least 50%. Here is an exemple. a PQ (planet quality) 17 planet, created in 2188, with revenue of 9 will support a population of 103, at a morale of 77%, and, a tax rate of 56%. Colony ships can be r

At the trade screen, with a small map lower left, Top of screen the is 1) and 2), 2 below 1. there ~SDC~
there is none (:( ~SDC~
1. What exactly is Range? WHen you click on a ship, it becomes highlighted, in the minimap, the sectors where the ship can go to = range of the ship 2. Why do some spacecraft only have a speed or range of 0? because they can't move. Starbase for exemple, until they become terror stars 3. Why would you set your spending to anything less than 100%? In the earlier part of the game yes, but as your colonies develop (population, production) they have variable morale that
Now, to start a trade route, all i need to do is send a freighter to another star system, right? YES Also, where do I find out how many trade routes I can have total? I know I start out with a total of 3 possible...what screen do I go to to find out how many possible total trade routes i can have. DOMESTIC POLICY, TRADE One more thing about trade routes: am i able to have more than one freighter on a trade route? YES Now, what tech do i need to follow to get troops
Use the tactical map at the top of the planet list. the minimap can be zoomed in and out, even with a wheel mouse. ~SDC~
double click the ship in the list. if it's on autopilot it will move, and lose focus. reselec-it and it will be centered. ~SDC~
Food for thoughts I see the wasted resources issue as an opportunity to maximize the production of a planet. It is one of the challenges of the game. The solutions proposed here are to eliminate the issue. This issue of minimizing waste is everywhere in business, industry, and certainly in computers. (SMP ouput units per cycle, Queue management, etc). The most prevelant solution to problems of that nature, is to stack work in units that are in proportion to the processi
Nobody, will you graph the model? ~SDC~
I expect a surprise at the end of the theck tree... ~SDC~
OK., I just checked using the SDC web browser, and I got my info. Are you using Sdc (stardock central) ? or you own. ~SDC~
did you register your player? Top of the page. ~SDC~
give the alliance to you desired AI, that should improve your relations. ~SDC~
Usually when your in a race for a planet, you dont have 5 spare ships close by to build a wall. ~SDC~
Check out the GC Strategies forum, and the OPENING MOVE thread. There are several alternatives that were posted,I'm sure they will help. ~SDC~
