You can only orbit a colonized planet. you could detroy the AI colony, but that would result in war with the AI, and the resulting consequences. ~SDC~
Louis-guy reid
There is no doubt that it is an ethic question and should impact the "good-evil" balance. I dont think the game can handle these events at this time. Should post this in the suggestion thread ~SDC~
beyond me. ~SDC~
Could it be that once you submitted the win, you got back instantaneously to your desktop? If that is so, I tought it had crash myself the first time, but the game had just closed fast, and the score had been submitted. I only realized it when I saw my score in metaverse. Dont forget to register in the metaverse to see your score. ~SDC~
I traded with a minor for technologies once, It was a planet in their neck of the woods, ok morale. I could not discern any impact, they eventually came back to the fold, with the minors race. Over the long term, I dont think it affected my "good" rating. ~SDC~
You cant submit to the UP. There is a built-in list used by the game. UP meets every n months, I forgot if it is 12 or 24. ~SDC~
The main approval rating (morale) is determine by tax rate and population. On a planet basis, it is the planet production that is determinant to support a given population. Moral boosting: entertainement, news, medical, hospital, virtual reality, Another alternative, is to use a transport (max 100 bp) to offload population temporairly, until production has cought up. have fun ~SDC~
What is your tax rate? did you look at this http://webpages.charter.net/trevorpowdrell/index.htm ~SDC~
I go to war because you want something from some AI. (star, resource starbase, tech, etc) If I trade (using bc's for fine tuning)with the AI, with a green text results, then win-win. If the resulting trade is yellow - no deal, then I'd like to make it a war ultimatum. ~SDC~
There is no communication betweem the game and stardock during play. Once you have won a game, you get a screen that ask you if you want to submit your win to the Metaverse. Only then does it get posted. There will be improvements to the AI's by the analysis the winning games. To my knowledge the mechanism to do this has not been communicated as this time. ~SDC~
Sorry I should have said how to prevent lost. In addition watch the maintenance cost of what you build, military and social, as they become fixed costs. ~SDC~
Your loose it. ~SDC~
#2. Actually get News xxxx social project for culture resitance, and there is a few others futher up the tech tree. #1. Works but what is the opportunity cost? ~SDC~
Super ~SDC~
timing, timing, timing. I usually spy on AI as soon as i encounter them, and I my decide to destabilise the immediatly, if I think they are a threath. ~SDC~
When you initite a trade, the color will change, yellow, no trade, green the price is right. LOL ~SDC~
You can start by destabilizing them, but watch out, it get's expensive and does not produce anything. ~SDC~
Nasty..... love it ~SDC~
My math is too rusty to formulate intelligently the supporting Model. If you get there, let me know. FreeCell is another game that I can see the pattern, but can't formulate. ~SDC~
Personnally I hate bugs, so when I get the random event with the curvy tower made of bug, I get the Raid can out and all the colonist are happy. That's the lenght you have to go through to maintain morale.... LOL ~SDC~
Cari, I don't understand what you mean, to get something in return for declaring war. Whenever i get peace offer, I accept and rarely do I get anything other than peace? Brad, that is nice way to keep your backyard all to yourself, works on large galaxies also.. ~SDC~
these are new abilities, I'm just trying them out. Will let you know when this game is finished, in a few days.... ~SDC~
It was a nice recovery, and the commitment of the GC team to SUPPORT is appreciated. I sweated until I found out what the problem was. I expect that this one will be put in the SDC test script. Lessons learned... :) ~SDC~
#1, Production is based on planet class, population and morale. That base production is increased by social project, starbases and research. #2, It depends, if your in space, use the minimap. If you want to compare, go to planet list and diplay by name or production. Have fun ~SDC~
Auto-attack, will hunt ships you are at war with, orbiting ou in space, close by or across the galaxie, attacks starbase also. If your at war with 2 AI's will attack which ever is closer. Watch out for starbase, unless you have enough hit points. ~SDC~
