Oh and by the way.... our generation isn't worse. In Nazi Germany there used to be blizzards. Blizzards of human ash. The 1920 gang mobsters would put LA gangs to shame. They used their Tommy guns to slaughter famlies just to make money and keep us drunk. Many African Americans were hung, beat, enslaved, etc. because their skin was dark. Like totaly freaked out and ignorant pussies, we just couldn't handle someone with different skin color I guess. If you

Not to bring up the old religious debate but this is precisely why the idea of eternally burning in hell as the Protestants claim is completely 100% crazy and just plain insane. You guys are clearly very sick and disgusted about the prospect of a baby being melted in a microwave oven like you would microwave a hot dog. You can't even imagine seeing something like this in real life, and most of us would want to just burry this woman in the ground alive without wasting time killing her f
I love the music to Sins of a Solar empire, particularly the main menu music. I will probably have both SINS and Galciv2 open at the same time just to listen to SINS music while palying galciv.
I would follow the above example when naming most ships, but would use a name with no numbers when building kick ass game winning ships.
i'm not completely understanding 'all-X'. %100 nothing but factories on all planets? if so where does you research come from? do you mean 1 or 2 factories and the reset research buildings on research planets? or literally all research. I'm not grasping how you maintain your economy with all factory planets *and* a fleet of ships. I'm not grasping how you're not completely out-teched by going 'all factory' and setting a factory planet on research focus.<
Is this just for those morale buildings? Do other buildings auto-upgrade?
When you guys play on obscene and suicidal how do you set up your planets in terms of factories and research labs? Do you go half and half or do you have some planets that are all labs and some that are all factories? Or do some of you avoid the quartering production drawback of the economy by going all labs and using the focus mechanic on production?
If GC2 were multi-player, I highly doubt I could ever win. There's always someone better to come along and take you out and that's the guy that always wins. So for me, I'm perfectly happy to play the AI. I can actually beat *them*
You play on obscene it looks like. Thats nothing to sneeze at.
So this is once in the whole game right? This isn't something you have to do every turn? So basically for now, beeline to transport tech and invade once in the game first before an AI invades you just to bring up the screen then cancel and save transport for later or go ahead and invade. Only prob is you better be a warmonger to one civ early on. So much for peace. Oh well the galaxy is a dangerous place.
In my honest opinion, taking any racial ability besides 30% morale bonus and like 40% economy or whatever the max economy bonus is is a waste. The nerfing of economy makes these two picks even more valuable. Frogboy doesn't like the concept of nerfing with the strength of civiliations, but apparently nerfing the economy is cool. I think there should just be a strong economy in the game period to have an awesome experience with more ships and what not. After all, the AI gets a stronge
Just pretend the AI has developed a new super weapon for use in invasions that destroys the fabric of space and time, destroying the universe. The aim of the game is to not only win, but prevent any possible invasion. The ultimate challenge. Someone win on suicidal with this bug!!
Save your game every 10 turns. When an AI invades on a turn and the game crashes you know where the AI is headed. Intercept and destroy. Garison all planets. All our base are belong to us. For great justice!!
I agree with djtool above. It is just a tool. The game isn't thinking for me. I am making the hard strategic decision to have 100% approval instead of say 39% approval but bucket loads more money. Once I make up my mind that I want 100% approval, why waste time needlessly clicking every single turn? I mean we all know the difference between 99% and 100% approval in population growth is great. That is one beef of a few I have with this game.... that pop growth bonus doesn't scale ev
Oh rofl!!!
Can you explain what that is? Thats a new one for me.
As to the op, ships can be modded, soldiers can't. There would likely be as many complaints from people that don't think this invasion screen is generic enough as those conscerned that its too generic in the first place. Besides, which, it would simply take too much time.
Why would that take a lot of time to make simple soldier graphics for each race when it must have taken copius amounts of time to make all the ship extras and design a system that lets you build ships li
Put the economic sliders on the main screen. I am always constantly adjusting my tax rate to ensure that I have 100% approval every turn as an example. Having the sliders on the main screen would save time from having to always click on the domestic window. In a long game this could save alot of time. Also, if there was a way to automatically adjust tax to match a desired approval rating, that would be awesome. For example, I could specifiy that I always want average approva
Well technically watching ship combat is a waste of time too. But can be somewhat fun to watch as there is some variety. Esp. when your brand new ship is in combat. With some variety in invasions as mentioned above, it would be much funner to watch. It would be statisfying watching Korath slaughter humans.
Ok, maybe I am missing something here..... I am actually not a huge fan of the new invasion screen.... maybe because it was totally different from what I imagined it to be. So the flags just blink and you hear machine laser gun fire? Then in the top screen you just see the city becomming more and more destroyed? I would like to see troops killing each other rather than blinking flags. For me, the ideal invasion screen would be a similar style to the first inv
Thanks!
Well ANYTHING is better than atari soldiers and crane tanks alongside mobile happy meal boxes of death. So I know the new invasion screen will be better. Just a question of how much better!
(Starting to have a heart attack) (breathing heavily) OMG!!!! The new invasion screen has arrived!!!!! Hoooooo boy. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With regard to tech trading, turn it off. Just say no to tech whoring!! The AI will tech whore among themselves and destroy you unless you also tech whore (maybe thats what you want?) In all seriousness, with tech trading off, the civs can be very different and not all the same.
yes to diplomacy and economy. It has an extensive tech tree also. Oh and the main menu music kicks ass. I will start up SINS and just listen to the main menu music on full volume while doing chores around the house.
I have the beta. This game is very unique. One thing you will notice is how good the graphics are and how well the game runs. Worth the money, but I wouldn't blame you if you waited until Feb, which is just around the corner.
