If you want the game sooner, certainly vote on it, but don't try to be the CEO of Stardock....
Ok Mom.
* Gaming publications (physical and web-based) like to rip games apart that "need" patches, so even if the release did get the same level of support after the fact, the original release is what the magazines/websites are evaluating. Obviously this would be bad for SD. Granted, an early TA release is bound to be pretty sweet, but the best reviews and coverage will happen if the game is AMAZING, not simply "pretty sweet".
Who cares what they think. I guess money is the onl
Release it late? Deny us our crack? (starting to have fits and go insane). To me, its a non-issue. If you relase it sooner and there is a few bugs, etc. big deal. We all know Stardock will come out with a billzillion updates, and that the game will have some bugs / imperfections if it is released in January ANYWAY. So why wait? The way I see it, if new players are like "this game sucks ass and they should have waited a month, then great... they can go back to playing Halo 3, the m
jumps that take awhile add some epicness to this game. A parsec is an unfathomable distance.
Are there any plans for multiplayer awarded medals that will accompany your every post in the forums here kind of like the galciv 2 metaverse medals?
I love the main menu music in SOSE!!! I will start up the game and do chores around the house listening to it with high quality surround sound. So EPIC!!!! Do you guys like the main menu music to Sins? Give the creator of that music a raise. Right now.
I haven't played Homeworld, so I wouldn't know. However, please listen to it and tell me I am wrong.
Awwwww nuts. I am always up for a good fight of words.
PS: if you don't know it yet, reseraching evil xeno ethics gives psyionic beam right off the bat.
Oh snap.
That reminds me of the angry German Kid!!!! Reply if you know exactly what I am talking about!!
The terror star on the title screen looks sweet though!!!
Terror stars don't seem to work, or at the least, I can't seem to figure out how to build them.
Terror stars are not included in this beta. Apparently you can reasearch the tech, but you can't build them. Sigh. We must wait for the sun killing atomic super novas and troops on the planet battle fields that have better than late 1970s era computer graphics.
2. The Drengin fleet that attacked my planet turned invisible after their first attack, I have a save of this if you want it, however saving and reloading seems to have made them visible again.
Nah they just had cloaking tech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recently had a lightning strike, moving up my plans for upgrades sooner than planned. I ended up going with a QX6600 @ ~2.9GHz on an ASUS P5W-DH, MSI NX8600GT, and a Samsung 244T 24" LCD. The game plays and look great at 1920x1200! But I'd really like to see the game on a 30" LCD at 2550x1600 rez. I've been able to verify that the game seems to use all 4 CPU cores, but to what extent I'm not sure. scintilion
damn. Try going back 50 years and explaining this
Must..... have.... terror stars!!! Can't wait for the improved planet invasion graphics either
Who do you contact to confirm that you preordered?? I am POSITIVE I pre-ordered (but it is also possible I am lossing my mind and I didn't quite do all the steps to preorder)
I preordered like months ago, and I get an option to purchase it on Stardock Central instead of download the beta? What are you supposed to do to get this beta?
Why did this have to come out day before I plan on getting a 360? And I have two tests next week...
You are going to fail. If I were you I would just cut my losses and not even go to class lol.
Awesome. Everything I could want. Does it come with a pizza and port-a-potty command chair so I never have to get up again?
LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What about governments like Star Democracy? Wouldnt being at 41% cripple you?
Why all you do is pay attention to election week and raise your approval just for that one week!!!Apparently, if taxes are really low for one week, the citizens will forget the other weeks of the year of super high taxes! The game's economy, espionage, influence, and morale systems all need some improvement.
Also, with the way approval and population growth works, you would be a fool to keep your average approval rate at anything but 100%, 41%, or 21% depending on if you want your population to grow fast, grow at a normal rate, or not grow. Either adjust the tax rate to make not much money but grow twice as fast, make a crap load of money and grow at an average amount, or make even more money and cease population growth. As great as this game is, there is plenty of room for improveme
Oh yeah, I was getting the gang up on me and blitz thing by the top two AI empires....And I had no depth to retreat into. With just one, I could have gone the swapping a planet back and forth route, but two was just too much! The whole thing has a much more tactical feel; and it plays out as like a completely different game. I felt the suicidal bonuses where magnified even more, giving the AI more advantage than they do on the really large maps. I think the tiny VS gigantic map difficulty
So the all X approach is to literally build only factories and focus some planets to research? That actually works?
Yup. It works because of an I believe unintended flaw of the galciv2 economy and the focus mechanic.
Can we even begin to imagine thousands of years into the future for our own human race? sure, it's called science fiction.
But could we even possibly begin to predict?? Back in like 1880 people were asked what the big problems would be 100 years from then in 1980. A popular choice was what people were going to do with so many horses. People thought there would be so many horses that manure would just cover everything and stink up the place. They
Patience my friends... just play WoW while you are waiting!
