Team E needs one, in fact Team E needs to settle on it's name.
How about this? ...Perhaps I should have warned you first that my laptop is in intensive care right now thanks to a critical malware infection. It had Photoshop and all of the previous banner work I had done on it. I'll be able to reinstall PS when I get it back, but my files are toast. Shadow might actually be the best per
after finishing Slash's autobiography
If you're in the mood for more like that, pick up a copy of Scar Tissue, Anthony Kiedis' autobio. What a messed-up life. And some good laughs, too.
evil house warming party
That's where everybody goes to the house the night before the unsuspecting couple moves in, bringing a really loud rock band and a bunch of kegs, and thoroughly trashes the place. At least that's how we do it in Virginia...
I started a brand new game tonight to point out the error as I have seen it in DL and DA, and emailed it to just now. I hope it is helpful.
Please check out this thread guys, The MVL and the AltMeta , we have been trying to get the MVL into the AltMeta for a while and now we are finally on the road to do this. We do need your support though. It will not be a quick and easy process for Kryo but he is willing to do this if there is the support to go with it. Please drop by this thread and lend your support to this effort.
Agreed. S
They (Torians) taste a lot like frog legs. Go well with beer, too - must be the hops.
I sometimes set side quests for myself to make the game more interesting. My favorite is to 'adopt' a minor race and try to keep them alive until the end of the game. I will go so far as to ring their planet with constructors so that races who aren't at war with me can't get to the minor and take it out. This can tie up several alien fleets, which will remain outside my ring just waiting. Then when I get around to attacking that major race, their ships are sitting ducks. When I play evil, though
folks have been unable to post a game to the Metaverse for Error 12 or Error 16 or whatever reason...submitting these games to the Metaverse lowers the score of any of my characters
I've lost track of the ModMetaverse lately... but would it be possible to set up a similar submission format for an AltMeta League? I don't know the technical requirements, but it might provide a viable alternative. I wouldn't mind moving my MVL character to a dedicated league. Having
now I need to borrow some of your slaves, my dishes are piling up.
Don't let them pile up, do it right and smash them over the slaves' heads. ** Disclaimer - not a game submission ** I was curious to see the difference, if any, between starting at Neutral relations with the computer opponents and starting at Unknown, so I played another game at the same settings with the same opponents. As it turned out, there was really no difference at all. Even with a slightly weaker starting position and no military mining bases to be had, I ended up winning a similar victory in the same amount of time. [img]http://img135.imagesh
You will get the correct population level after you save and restart. It's not just farms, all improvements act this way - that is, they do nothing if they are finished on the same turn the next level of that improvement is researched/traded for/stolen; until you save and restart, after which they act normally. This has been a feature of the game since it was released.
I have been under the assumption that "unkonwn" meant "random", and so have been setting relations to Neutral for ages now to get what I thought was an even start. That's what I did for the game above. I'm the only submitter so far; if there is a wish to make a ruling now, then FTR I don't mind playing another game for this round to keep things even. I read elsewhere that the Drengin influence problem had been noticed and was slated for fixing in the next release. Did you notice if there was a survey ship in the same spot as the busted anomaly? Sometimes survey ships hit a wormhole and end up in the same space as an anomaly. They don't pick it up, and other survey ships cluster around, unable to resist the lure of the anomaly. You can kill the survey ship that's on the anomaly and grab it normally afterwards.
Still off topic? I'm rich in love
...but you're poor in score. Hey, is this the thread where we post our Round 4 scores? Because I don't see any scores. Just a lot of hot air from some teams. Let me set you guys straight. FTR, I used a custom race with Super Diplomat ability.
I wonder what the Advanced/Ultimate Charging Stalks look like. And can they be used for planetary defence?
Yes, they will give attackers a real drubbing...
What's with the charging stalks?
Maybe they're for *snicker* a penal colony...
The first thing I did after DL'ing the beta, before even playing it, was open Windows Explorer and hunt for the new planetary improvement graphics. 'Impressed' doesn't even begin to describe it. Here's a teaser of the first few for your salivatory pleasure - I left the folder path at the top for those who have it and want to see the rest for themselves: If I needed another reason to get this expansion, thi
No matter what race or alignment you are, the others will all turn on you eventually. The only thing the computer players really respect is your military rating. As Vegetius said, if you want peace, prepare for war.
Stay at positronic II - best bang for buck in the galaxy.
That would be a boring galaxy... I think they fail to research extreme environment techs beyond the two they start with, including advanced techs for those two. One of the main advantages the AI has on the higher diff levels is its ability to rampage through those techs and grab more planets while you're still discovering fire.
Before the inevitable rounds of taunting begin, I would like to wish you well. Neilo, I will miss you in the team forum, but there's always the Tyranny. Another favorite of mine is BlackJackDavy's [link="https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=350&aid=150405"]Green Pasture[/link]. In fact, reading that story was what gave me the impetus to finally finish this one and put it up. It's also a narrative type story, and I like the tone of the writing; it really feels like something recorded by an alien being.
