You are too good for Alistair anyhow. That punk walks around all smug like: "oh, you know.. I'm kind-of-sort-of a Prince %$#^%!!"
Hardball 2 and Defender of the Crown.. two great games from my youth. Both played on the c64 I believe. I had the C64c.. the updated, sleeker model;)
I really like the idea of perceived power and limiting the AI to what it has seen rather than giving it any type of meta-information. This conversation system seems very, very cool. I have not used Python in the past. Is it difficult to pick up?
I agree that there are some annoying parts to Borderlands but all in all I have enjoyed the game. The voice chat is horrible. Some tweaks were added with the patch but I still have it disabled in my ini. When I play online with friends we use Ventrillo (as we do with any/every other game). When I play with strangers I find that I have little need to talk with anyone. If it is my game I choose and go about the missions while the others tag along for fun, chaotic battle
I am loving this one. Picked it up for my son (who loved Fate) and I have been playing it quite a bit. Very nice little touches they added to the game.
I think I read a post (on these forums) where someone said that the %completed took into account all of the origins as well. So until you play through each of the origin stories you won't get to 100%. Not to mention any of the side quests that you may have (inadvertently) opted out of.
One of my favorite parts so far.. the barkeep in Lothering. I clicked on his "rumors" dialogue option to see what he had to say and it was fairly interestring. I clicked again because it was an option and got a new response.... So I clicked again and got a different response entirely.... I was expecting the standard barkeep 1-3 recycled rumors and then an "I've told you all I know" response but I kept clicking and he kept spouting new rumors.
http://social.bioware.com/browse_bw_projects.php I went looking for the unofficial chest mod and found it on this Bioware projects page. There is also a mod on here that tones down the blood splatter in the game. I am not opposed to bloody battles or brutal deaths.. but it can be a little over the top when you are standing around after a fight chatting with each other covered in gore. There is one
Tom Chick has a very good series of blog entried regarding DA. Very good look at some of the strategy involved: http://fidgit.com/archives/2009/10/dragon_age_pwning_ogres.php
I went with a female human rogue but I am not sure about the choice. I played BG/BG2/NWN as a rogue(NWN2 for an extremely brief, unsatisfying time). I like the idea of the class but it may be time for a change. I may end up switching over to a warrior or mage... it will be interesting to see how all of the origins come together and intertwine. I need to get all Val Kilmer on it and switch completely into a new mindset. I'm going to go and tell my wi
Yeah, Overlord was ok... it did not really stand out for me though. Good to know there is a Syndicate game coming out. I see it listed as "In development" and "20XX" though. I'll keep my "noob" eyes out for it.
This might be known to the general populace but I just learned of it and wanted to share. When you are looking at an item and want to compare stats the game (for whatever reason (read:design flaw)) limits you to only 4 lines of attributes/bonuses/text. Higher quality items could end up having 6 lines of text so you would be missing the knowledge of key bonuses when doing a comparison. Here is a fix that was just posted. As far as I know this is a PC fix only
1. Syndicate. This was a very fun game to play in its time. 2. Powermonger. It took me a bit to get into this game when I first got it years and years ago... but I really enjoyed it. 3. Dungeon Keeper --> :) Would be nice. I was not happy with Majesty2 however - and I really loved the first game. Then again - I would be looking for a spiritual successor rather than a sequal to these games.
I have been playing this a bit with a few people from Demigod and I am having a blast. The game definitely shines in multiplayer.. the voice system is a little weak for me and the matchmaking system could be fleshed out a bit.. but add in a vent server and 3 people who actually want to enjoy the game... super! For anyone still playing or just picking it up - add me: Mauxe
I am having trouble connecting with you pacov. All ports are open but I times out on your invite... The game could use a better way to connect with friends.. is your Steam nickname similar?
Download finished during the night. I was able to get a little time in this morning before work. Not bad so far. I am only just outside the starting "town". I like the way the graphics are done. The ride in on the bus was humorous as well :)
I'll definitely be playing tomorrow... Sitting at 78% right now.. Going to get some sleep :(
No, Deus Ex was a superb game. Deus Ex 2: Invisible War was a not so great game. I believe there are a couple of updated versions being made of the first one. That will be very nice. I tried to get the original going but I was having some game-killing opengl issues... As far as my favorite RPG - Tales of the Unknown Volume I: The Bards Tale. I have to judge based not on graphics or effects.. not even solely based on story.. but on how it felt to
My god I want to rip up a piece of paper!!! Or a napkin!! Steam downloader is so slow... hung up a few times.. ~230KB/s right now and 40%.......
Guess I have a Gamespy ID already. It's Mauxe
Gamespy.. now that's a name I've not heard in a long time... a long time.... I have not used Gamespy in many years but I'll give it a shot :) I have never really been able to embrace FPS's on a console.. I just miss my mouse and keyboard... Thanks for posting this pacov. I had barely looked at this game but now I am very intrigued. I am planning on grabbing this when I get home. Times like this I wish I had a remote connection to my com
Interesting.. I'll check it out. Is it set up in such a way that people can drop in and out of a game you have running? Also - how close in levels do you need to maintian? It would be fun to co-op but if I fell behind..or started late.. would it be feasible? I just read through this review and it answered all of my questions. Well, as they pertain to this game at the moment... <a href="http://www.eurogamer.n
Hm. I have seen this but not looked into it enough. Is ir similar to RE5? I have been playing that single player but there is a drop in co-op mode as well.
Weird. I could see the motivation to cause one of these events if you gained $500 every time it happened. Heck, even $5 would be a motivator. I just don't see the lure for it currently... better stats? You get a higher win %? hmm. Right now the only stat that I see have an effect on a game is Games Played. I notice that pacov has not shared his trick to this one!! Keeping his cards close...nice.
