Yeah, BakerStreet, when "news" people on TV were trying to figure out where MJ was since they had staked out the Santa Barbara airport and he hadn't yet arrived (like he would go there knowing they had the place surrounded), I thought to myself, maybe he decided to visit Roman Polanski.... <img src="http://images.stardoc

I honestly don't know what can or cannot be done with the logon box. I suspect others don't either or you would have had a response by now. To get an expert opinion you should email Stardock support and ask them if it is at all possible for the domain logon box to be skinned. (I'm figuring if it can be skinned at all Stardock would know.) <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" bo

I think that a 40+ year old man who admits (as he has) to sharing a bed with other people's children has a serious problem of some sort. Whether or not he's actually an active child molester or not, he certainly has some serious issues evidenced by his behaviors and self-mutilation. Now what parents would let their kids stay over with MJ? Reportedly he showers the kids with gifts, pays bills and other things from which the parents benefit as well. No doubt his generosity contributes to

I've had 19" and 17" monitors and I'ved use 1024x768 for years. This was not the default resolution for my monitors (the defaults settings were 800x600 even on my newest---one year old---monitor, go figure) but it's a comfortable size for me.

Wow no such problems here. Occasionally someone reports some issue with an Office app, but to my knowledge there's no known issue that universally renders using WB and Office XP impossible. I use Word and Excel regularly and virtually have WB on all the time. Haven't excluded anything from Office in WindowBlinds. Hope you can get this resolved.

Yeah, IP. Hard to parody something that's already descended into self-parody. I was just thinking about this yesterday and today after clickiing through various cable channels running live TV helicopiter camera shots from above the Neverland Ranch. (Look, a police car! look another police car! ooh, there are trees! What bloody else would the TV geniuses and viewers expect to see? The King of Pop moonwalked out of the house in cuffs when he wasn't even there? Ludicrous.) Any

You might try looking at all the other BootSkin threads on this messageboard (there are about 20 of them) and perhaps also on the WC Help messageboard. This issue has been raised in many of them. Use the seach function to search on boot skin and bootskin. [Message Edited]

Are you talking about the screen background or the actual logon box? I'm on a domain at work and all I have is a black screen with a small logon panel in the middle. It's not even in the Luna style that I recall. I haven't heard of anyone or anything skinning the domain logon. Otherwise people here would be discussing it and using it if there was. And being on a domain, one has limited control of what one can do in some areas of the PC when the set up is determined by the sys admin.

Scooby: did you read the news article on Icon Developer on the WC main page? Click on the "visit now" link and it takes you to this page where you can read about it: http://adam.joeuser.com/index.asp?AID=990 Just a hint: it's an Object Desktop app. Edited: Just noticed that yo

I believe there may be info in the read me text in the bootskin app folder and certainly info posted in several of the threads here on how to make bootscreens for the bootskin app. It just requires bmps. Also look in the WC Help message board for any bootskin threads there. [Message Edited]

Are you an Object Desktop subscriber? If not you aren't eligible to get the beta versions. If you're a registered user of WB4 you will be able to get 4.2 when the final version is released. [Message Edited]

Question, Scooby: If you already have all the answers, why are you here asking others for any imput at all? "Get over it?" Who gives a fat rat's bum whether you get a laptop, desktop or are abducted by aliens? (OK right now the latter is an attractive prospect.) <A HREF="https://www.wincust

Sometimes I wonder how some people manage to take a dump on their own. (Since some seem to expect everyone else to cater to them without any reason or incentive to do so.)

And here's a post from Phoon in the Simple Question thread here: #1 by Sir Phoon - 11/12/2003 10:04:52 PM One would begin with the readme file included with the bootskin program. But a quick overview.. Background image = 640x480 resolution 16 colors ( bit ) ONLY for now. Progress Bar image = 22x9 resolution 16 colors using the EXACT same palette as the background image. Again I stress, read the readme file included with the program. Hope that helps.. <br

From the first news story on this site's homepage about the Bootskin app: " It is really easy to create your own boot screens. In the BootSkin directory (\program files\stardock\wincustomize\bootskin) there are sub directories that that contain a .bmp and a simple .ini file that describes the file. Realistically just change the bitmaps and off you go. For now, you have to make them as 16 color (that's 4bit) .BMP files since that's all Windows supports at boot presently. We plan to upd
