Iconians have a great espionage rating of 100% but no techs like the krynn do for espionage? So does this make the iconians the ultimate spies or is it the krynn with the espionage buildings? Which one of those races is better for spying?

Becarefull, spies are just a figment of your imagination or they're just not meant to be found.
After customizing a map, I can't use the races I created as my opponents? How do I do this? Is there a relationship between setting homeworlds and picking a race in the map editor and customizing a race in-game as your opponent? It's all confusing !

what and how does master spy tech do in krynn tech tree?
Ok so basically, the AI is not suicidal and wont attack me if it has a weaker military regardless of how many ascension crystals or how close i am to ascend? In that game, I had a strong military 90% of the game and through out I had a close relationship with both. Only in the end game, the AI (altarian) surpassed me slightly militarily, but they were allied with the Terrans and if both ganged up on me, they would of surely beat me militarily. But again, I captured the crystal early on and the t
I created a map with 1 ascension crystal in the middle, knowing where it was I built a starbase on it before anyone else could. It was in terran territory and the only other civilization was alterian whom both never went to war with and eventually won on ascension victory. I was neutral alignment. Given these facts, could this be a bug or am i missing something? Does the AI prevent me to win by ascension? Does the difficulty level have anything to do with it?
Never played 22 years; id come up with an idea to end game way before that time.
If you check the planet\ship list button for those who use it to view planets and ships, it dosn't show the correct expense total at the top. Maybe it's the opposite but definetly showing the same amount for income and expense which is wrong.
I created a map and upon playing it for hours, I noticed the AI wasn't producing survey ships to go after animalies? Does this have to do with difficulty settings or is it another twilight bug?
I edited a map to play, but due to the customization at the begining, my map changed in terms of anomalies, asteroids, number of habitable planets, races etc ... ? Meaning the map I created at the begining, I specifically chose the number of planets and stars etc... but because of the options when I launch the game, it's changing\adding things to my map ! Can anyone confirm and\or has a way around it?
Ok so I sent in my change of email address then what? I can't believe stardock dosn't have a set of clear procedures on how to download their game after purchase online since we can't even buy it off the shelf. After I purchased it online, on my product order, theres a serial number which im guessing is the one for SDC which I have and been updating Galciv for many months now through it. Is this a new serial number I have to enter for SDC? It's all confusing, I should of be able to download it a
Question? When can I start downloadin from SCS? Do I have to wait a day?
I have yet another idea for an espionage victory... Espionage & Counter-espionage Espionage Intel = 40 bc/wk is the maximum spending research tech structure lvl 1 = society (10bc) " " lvl 2 = economy (20bc) " " lvl 3 = technology (30bc) " " lvl 4 = military (40bc) Destabilization = 100 bc/wk is the maximum spending research tech structure lvl 1 = convert 1 chosen planet (25bc) " " lvl 2 = simultaneously con
It's time to think about the next expansion; other than all the bug issues that needs to be resolved at or before the expansion if there thinking about maiking one, we must think of improvements. Allow more control over espionage - When no espionage spending is needed, the AI sais from time to time we might get a breakthrough and steal technology. Well at this point, didn't we earn the right to target which tech to steal? In other words, we get the option to choose and t
I hope this is adressed in the new editor in twilight of the Arnor. Where we can pick our starting positions.
I don't think i have patients to play on an immense size galaxy .. lol.
Another area where a revamped espionage system can work to be able and target a specific technology to steal. Unfortunetly right now, this isn't the case and it's still a random theft of technology.
Personally i never saw the usefullness of an alliance; the thing about this game is like any other is to dominate the galaxy, if there are 5 players and 3 of them are allied then its basically over. You cant do doodly do ! how you gonna dominate the galaxy now!? wait until that random event where the leader of one group gets assassinated? while i try to sustain my ever growing population for years and years without any war and territorial expansion just because there are 3 allies and i cant atta
This is for you stardock, are you going to make any changes to espionage after releasing twilight of the Arnor? There are alot of ideas in these forums concerning espionage and its safe to say that the current system is getting old and stale. It was a good try, and fun for awhile, but its time for a change ... I think most people want it too, since you wont be working on galciv 3 in the near future, maybe you can work on a new espionage system for twilight? Anyone want to support me a
I didnt hear about it officially; but it is a wish list for most fans. Sorry to break it to you.
An example of my previous idea would be, let us say I want to spy on an enemy government, I would train spies like usual and place them on the enemy government and not necessarily a "building" like the current system. The more spies you put on an enemy government, the better, since the longer your spies are present and doing their job the more they do damage as long as they dont get all nullified. As long as you got at least one spy your ok. There should be a time meter, let us say you were able
Breaking alliance could be done by spying; shoudnt be too hard; all stardock has to do is totally revamp the espionage system. Just look at my ideas on espionage ...
We need to be able to spy on a certain area; technology, military, government, economy etc.. and each of them will either give us a success or failure. I'll leave it to you people what success could mean and what failure means. Any ideas?
