Or an update of the Ships database for each race? YES!! DEFINITELY!!! A lot of us have been whinging about that for ages!!! I see your donuts and raise you a muffin, free donuts AND muffins, all for some info. Bargain!

Blair said somewhere that using the Phase Drive consumes a lot of Antimatter, so it is possible that ships would have to stop periodically to replenish there reserves before moving on. This means you could attack an opponents fleet while its recharging its FTL drives.
Yeah, I've been looking for it for ages, its something of a rarity over here, I may have to import from America...it definitely looks like a good game, there's just no justice when good games don't sell.
That was less of a statement and more of a hint...
FEAR fans should definitely watch PANICS (People Acting Normal In Crazyass Situations) from the makers of Red vs Blue, mild language but very funny.
I'm guessing it was just for story effect, it does seem unrealistic that the entire population of Thrall would've been wiped out, and, though the game may be unspecific either way, it can still be conjured in an AAR.
Umm, you already have that in your own post, no need to double post, some may think you did it out of spite.
I think a free computer upgrade should be part of Sins warranty
when you come out (if your ship was moving when it started) will that momentum be conserved I don't think so, I remember in the trailer a bunch of Vasari ships dropped out of Phase Space and simply stopped almost dead.
now, so long as you dont let Germany take over half the continent before you retaliate, than I believe we'll be fine. Yup, we dropped the ball there, and we may just do it again, our government has no spine. We'd be happy to get mired in Iraq and Afghanistan, but if a country were to take over half of Europe again we would be like "Hmm, yes thei
I would say so, the Vasari ships look kinda organic, with nice smooth flowing curves. The other ships definitely don't look Advent because they're colouring is too grey, so they must be TEC ships, but I've never seen them before. Once again the whole "update the damn race info section" complaint resurfaces.
I've noticed in the recent batch of screenshots that the colours the ships fly don't stay the same, this applies to all races but the Vasari are a good example. All the shots can be found here. Link (I would post them in individual links but it seems the forum HTML has become somewhat garbled when it comes to posting links, unfortunately this means there's some digging to be done to find
I'm guessing this here screenshot is showcasing a ship in Phase Space
Which makes me wonder...does GalCiv2 have a feature that allows you to record a game and let someone else view it? If not...why not? We tried to with the Epic Generator but it got incredibly difficult to make coherent. Excuse my slowness but I take that to mean the epic generator is out then?
I'm with Fuels Chief, diplomacy is a must, get some trade going and get some friends to help you out of scrapes. No matter how long you play GC2, you should always do that.
Once again, I arrive in the thread too late to understand what is going on, which is unfortunate when I saw the whole "dangling faeces" fiasco but oh well. I just came to register my disgust at anyone...not just a certain German person...who thinks games have an adverse effect on people. Sure, that kid played Counter Strike...but did it make him assault his school and kill 37 people? No. That was his choice that he made, for whatever unearthly reasons...on his own. Wait...does
Very good, the graphics look amazing.
FRAPS is good too, Kryo told me about it when I asked the same question...oooh...months ago now, you can also take video with it and it dumps the screens straight into a folder no questions asked. It can be found here
I suppose in some ways the lack of updates outside news bulletins is a good sign, *hopefully* the attention is being diverted towards the game.
Are you trading with them? Once I traded with every race in the galaxy except the Altarians, which led them to believe that I was planning to rain fiery nuclear death on their planet, which I was.
I name planets after Gods or abstract nouns such as "Osiris" (god) and "Persistance" (Abstract noun)
Happy new year from Somerset, England, UK!!! We're already up and about on the first day of 2007!
You have 3 options, either ally yourself with the other little civ and attack the big civ, ally with the big civ and wipe out the little civ (getting a cosy alliance victory either way)or take out the little guy, absorb his resources and go on an all out, no holds barred genocide run on the larger race (this way is the most fun)and hope to win or take as many with you as possible. When a map is as bad as you say, you have little to lose but everything to gain. It's little challenges and
I believe there will be a "declare war" feature in the expansion pack, until then as Marcathonas says, kill something, nothing gets the point across like some good ol' fashioned killing. Word of warning though, occasionally when setting a ship to autopilot, it will come across a mini-freighter on a trade route and the game will ask you if you are sure you want to destroy, its happened to me a couple of times, the first time it happened I clicked yes, which was a bit of a bummer, because
It was definitely longer and more engrossing than most other AAR's I've seen, it had me hooked from beginning to end.
