A thought just occurred to me. Has anyone ever tried modding in a model of Spaceball One? Or even seen a model of Spaceball One? I'd love to see one in-game, complete with 'WE BRAKE FOR NOBODY' bumper sticker.

Not the same: The human usually performs better than the AI, so you'd feel pressed to carry it out yourself. Really, everything has been said already, just do a search. I don't doubt it's all been said. Also, I'm well aware of such preferences. I tend to prefer to have full control over the tactical battles in Master of Orion 2 - it's actua
Indeed. You want bad, you check out the 3000AD forums. I hear the man behind 3000AD is extremely hot-headed. I'm not too familiar with the board itself, but... Well, 'Derek Smart' has a very infamous reputation, and let's just leave it at that.
Con - On larger maps combat can occur up to 10 times per round so it would just be a real pain in the behind. ... And just like with Master of Orion, there can be the option to disable it for any particular session, and let the AI determine the victory without rendering it.
Replicators are gone. Why not take the Ori instead? The Replicators in the Milky Way galaxy may be gone, but there's the Asurans still left in the Pegasus galaxy (EDIT: they're a form of 'replicator' built directly by the Ancients/Altarans as a nanite-based weapon to be used against the Wraith. They tend to prefer using the same form and technologies/
Tactical combat is rumored to already be in consideration for GalCiv3, but the apparent verdict is that there's no time to bother with adding it to GalCiv2.
It's a Battlestar! Oh, wait, it's a BC-304 Daedalus-class Tau'ri Battlecruiser (It's the mass-produced model of the X-303 Prometheus - not just the Daedalus itself. All new Tau'ri vessels look just like it, including the one the Russians were given). They just look so alike...
You see, the whole point of having projectiles capable of moving faster than light is so that you can actually hit targets that are moving faster than the speed of light. Mass Drivers fire mass (duh), and, thus, what it fires cannot move faster than the speed of light due to the laws that govern this universe. If it cannot be sent faster through real-space using a warp field, then it won't be able to even catch up with the target, let alone have a chance to hit it (also, without
As it is however, the Transport needs to be destroyed because there needs to be a tax base on the planet. All the population are kill, or perhaps enslaved, so the troops need to pay taxes. Not necessarily. You can send a fully-laden transport or colony ship to friendly planets and they merely drop off their cargo and stay in orbit. The invading Tr
BTW, I still can't figure out what WOOT means. I know it's an expression of excitement, but what does it stand for? Maybe it's just a combination of 'Whoo!' or Whoop!' and 'Hoot!' (like 'give a hoot')... you know, just a random exclamation of excitement and whatnot. That it doesn't really mean anything in particular.
One thing I've found that helps stabilize the game is to restart it every few hours. It seems to consume memory over time, especially after an invasion. Shutting down and restarting the game resets it in the computer's memory and keeps it running well. Gah- memory leak problems?! $#!t, no wonder the game starts to get glitchy after hours of runni
Best thing to do is use a filter that replaces inappropriate words with something appropriate. Most public forums use one. This is great, so long as the filter isn't idiotic and messes with words like assassin and making it buttocksbuttocksin. That only makes it worse.
perhaps a new section that redirects resurrected threads to a new section,..... called. erm 'resurrected threads' thus if you really wanna wade thru old threads that have been recently replied too... you can go there. It'd be like that zombie ranch from the end of the Australian zombie movie 'Undead'. It was utterly silly
I did think of another way to accomplish it though. You could just launch a module at the enemy ship that would attach to te hull. Then you could send the sound waves right through the armor without ever having to maintain a connection between the two ships. Though it does make it seem like a mass driver though. Actually, I'd think it'd be more l
Aye... I remember finding out about the 'crowdedness' of a planet being a factor for morale/approval at some point... may have been flipping through the game manual. I do know that I point at the Morale/Approval percentage on the Colony Management screen to see the tooltip that explains how the percentage for that specific colony is calculated.
Gotta be careful about letting your population per planet increase too much...
Floaters were from UFO Defence, not Terror from the Deep. TFTD had ... $#!t, I don't know what the equivalent was in TFTD. Maybe Tasoth? Or Deep Ones?
23 EDIT: Played ancient games from when I grew up- including Gauntlet, Joust, Donkey Kong... The Atari was awesome, and Bally's system was fun, too.
My Bright (I think?) Metaverse game (that I still need to get back to at some point) has the Thalans and the Terrans as having a fair bit of power, but they're still apparently second-bananas to the Arceans. The Drath are near by my paltry civilization, and are no better off than me (playing the Altarians).
Actually you can also rename a planet that has not been colonized. (Maybe it also is possible to rename inhabitable planets and planets belonging to other civs, haven't tried) Actually, you can rename just about anything, including enemy ships, starbases, and even planets. Just not stars, apparently.
4 good against 3 evil. Huh? 4 good? There's the Torians, the Altarians, and the Iconians. The Terrans, Arceans, Thalans, and Drath are Neutral, while the Drengin, Yor, and Korx are Evil. That accounts for everyone, right? 3 Good, 4 Neutral, 3 Evil. It's balanced.
hi this is my first post i am not not too sure iff its a glitch but when u build an eco nomy star base the add a manresearch module it say 5% increase thyen when when u add another 1 it says 4% is that right Yes, because the module bonuses STACK. The +5 from the previous module will combine with the +4 from the new one to produce a +9 bonus. T
Nah... the field of fire merely would mean you could fire the guns in that area, and cover approaches at the specified angles. What's that have to do with armor and shield protection covering certain areas? Didn't matter so much in MoO2, and the fire arc feature (along with the weapon mount sizes) did a decent job, I think. I tended to use Extended Forward Arcs, though, with a rare 360 turret. I preferred the flexibility. Meant I could turn my starboard or port shields to the enemy if my forward
The Elsa and the Durandal would pwn in this. Elsa would make a great cargo hull, Durandal a great dreadnought. And maybe add the Yggdrasil from Xenogears. Or even the Eldridge. Holy $#!t, the Eldridge was gigantic!
The computer game - Master of Orion 2 - was the best space game ever ... Until GalCiv2 ... which is NOW the BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, the fanboy attitude is starting to bug me, now... It didn't take long, but I've been hearing it from more than just you, so don't take it personally. I suppose I can be guilty of it for
