I use the Logitech cordless optical mouseman. I had some issues at first, with the signal not connecting on bootup..but that problem has been fixed. I go through a pair of AA batteries maybe once every other month...sometimes sooner if I've been playing mahjongg too much (too much clicking! ). I love the fact that it's a cordless, I get too flustered with corded mice. Like Koasati, I've programmed my thumb

Thanks for your reply... I've already made the horizontal version with one image (stretched), and it looks proper. Not sure why the vertical one has the gradient offset incorrectly. Guess I'll just upload the horizontal one...and hope no one asks for vertical.

I'm making a background for Object Dock...a set of horizontal and vertical docks. The 65x65 pixel image I'm using has a double gradient (darker in center lighter on edges)...for the vertical graphics, all I did was rotate the horizontal image 90 degrees, which looks fine (the png file that is). But when I test it out on my system, the vertical bar shows the gradient with darker on one edge going to lighter on the other edge. I'm not sure if the problem is with my coding in the .ini files for ver

Not sure if this is of any help...but I had an older version of SS and SDC. When I first looked at the list of available updates (on SDC) it only showed dashed lines for SS. I updated my version of SDC and rebooted...I also checked (selected) the "Show Pre-release Versions" in lower left corner. I had already uninstalled the only version of SS (came with OD) before I did all this...even deleted the folder. But after rebooting, I saw the newest version (beta) and was able to d/l and install it...

I just uninstalled my SS (version 3.0.0,Build 619) and deleted the folder from Object Desktop directory. I then opened Stardock Central, which was an older version apparently because SDC had to be updated. Now that I'm connected through the new(er) SDC, the only available version of Skin Studio for download is Skin Studio Standard version 3.00.008 (dated 10/29/03). Do I need to download and instal

if these are the same tooltips that Windows uses, I would love to know how to get rid of them. I downloaded a free program called TweakUI for Windows XP ...it has lots of options including a checkbox for "Enable Tooltip Animation" and "Enable Tooltip Fade". You can download it here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads

I use TweakUI for XP...if you're using XP (or 2K), you can get the nifty program here http://www.annoyances.org/exec/software/xppowertoys ...it has other useful tweaking features beside the trash removal. Hope that helps... edit: oh sorry...I guess there was an easier way around it. [Message Edited]

I tried running both versions of PSP with skinning enabled...both ran fine, but version 8 looks terrible skinned since there are many of the tools (left side) that have drop arrows (additional tools)...it looks scary. I guess it depends which skin is being used. So, I've kept version 7 off the exclusion list, and added version 8 back.

I'm running WB 4.10.0 and have both PSP v7.04 and 8.01. I just noticed that, in the exclusion list, there is a PSP.exe and a Paint Shop Pro.exe ... I recall adding one of the two (can't remember which one) a few WB versions ago. Which one was added automatically? I think I need to remove the one I added. Anyway, as of now, with the two exclusions and my current version of WB, I'm able to run both PSP versions unskinned successfully. edit to add: In the exclusion

FOOOD's website http://www.foood.net/icons/templates.htm offers some bubble icon templates, along with a tutorial on how to add your own image to the template. I believe you would need to have an icon program, in addition to PS (or PSP). Hope that helps!

I think the same thing is happening to me as well...in the last week or so. I used to go to a skin in the library, click on 'Download', and it would automatically download to the proper directory/folder and give me a pop-up (systray) saying that "skin name" has been installed, to apply it go to...ect. But now, I click on 'Download' and get that option window (Save, Open, etc.). So I save it (.wba) to my WB folder, then have to nav to the folder, and double-click on the .wba file. That's when I

1. The Thing (Carpenter's 1982 version)...after spending a winter at the South Pole and watching it there, this is definitely my top pick! 2. The Exorcist (both 1 and 3)...in #3, the scene at the senior care home with the old woman crawling quickly across the ceiling in the background (almost missed it!) gave me the creeps for a couple days! 3. Susperia...elegant and well-made, the use of the camera (cinematography?) was especially good. 4. Alien...when it first came out, it was so d

I had a 17" CRT monitor for quite a while, and thought it was great. I recently got an LCD monitor to replace it...but everything was VERY blurry and poor quality. I was told that my graphics/video card was not supporting it, so I upgraded my card to nVidia GeForce FX 5200 Ultra (128MB DDR)...and WOW!! what a difference! I'm glad I didn't return the monitor like I wanted to at first! So..moral of th

You need to be running Window Blinds 4.1 ... Then when you select a skin (that offers compact start menu), if there is regular and compact versions within the skin, you'll need to choose the compact version from the sub-designs drop down menu on your properties/appearance window. hope that helps!
