plus i heard if you got vista your printer wont work anymore (you have to upgrade or something)....(i love my printer) someone tell me if thats wrong please...filthy rumours always seem to swing my way......... I have a Canon i960 inkjet printer, and Canon CanoScan N670U scanner...they both work fine with Vista Home Premium. I was surprised at how quickly Canon came out with Vista updates for many of their older products. But they work. <img src="http:

hmm...I can't seem to get it right. I deleted all but one tab, then click/drag a corner to resize the dock...but when I try to place it at the edge of the screen, the dock goes back to a vertical orientation. lol! I remember seeing a video that Brad made on how to make the docks into the horizontal configurationn, but can't remember what he did to make them stay. Any ideas?

Thanks for the updates you guys...good to know CS2 works okay. I've held off installing it for now, since PSP X is working great, but I have a couple of PS-only plugins that I need to test on Vista, so will give it a go soon. I am having some issues with Winamp and with a beta game...both connectivity issues. I'm thinking BitDefender firewall isn't playing well with the other apps. This move to Vista has been a rollercoaster ride for me, some ups and some hair-pulling moments as well. I love th

Thanks messiah1, I must have had a dock background that wasn't reconfigurable. I will definitely give that a try when I get home from work! Thanks for the reply!

IIRC, in previous versions of OD Plus, you could place a single dock/tab on the side of the screen and have it open out horizontally. Is that feature still available in the latest version? If so, how is that done? Also, I am unable to click on, and drag, the regular dock to a different position. It seems like it is locked, but according to the right-click menu it is not locked. Shouldn't I be able to just click and drag it around? Thanks in advance for your help! <img src="http

Now that I have Vista installed and running....Paint Shop Pro X (with all patches + Vista patch). I have Photoshop CS2, but am trying to decide if I should install it. I have a plugin/filter from Alien Skin that only works on PS, and it wasn't cheap. Sorry, but Adobe just chaps my hide...Photoshop isn't the only thing they are neglecting, all of the Macromedia 8 Suite has been tossed aside as well. So far I am a

After some issues trying to install a new SATA drive, I finally have Vista installed. I have the upgrade version of Home Premium. I ended up installing XP on the new drive then choosing the clean install option of Vista. I've only had things up and running for a day so far. There's a lot that I like, and there are some things that I am not sure of yet, like navigating the file system...I'm sure I'll eventually get used to it, and get to like it. M

I would like to learn how to make WB Skins with a good tutorial. I think I would contribute more if I knew how to make them... I agree with this...although there are some nice tutorials already on the site, but everything seems fragmented. A tutorial for creating a blind from scratch (your own graphics), instead of using Luna or another skin, would be helpful. I understand that WB (and skin studio) has evolved over the years, into a fairly complex app,

I've been using PSP since version 7...but have settled on 10. I also have Photoshop CS2, and as jazzmjr stated, the learning curve is fairly large. I suppose it's because I'm so used to the PSP way of doing things, but I find I get more frustrated with Photoshop, trying to do what normall takes a couple of quick clicks in PSP. I end up spending half my time reading through the help files, lol! Anyway, if you have patience (and maybe a decent PS book) you should probably be able to tansition over

I have been using Sygate SPF Pro for 5+ years. Since Symantec bought them out last year, and pretty much killed it, I am looking for a new firewall. Free or not, I'd like something as stable and easy to use as Sygate was. I would appreciate any recommendations, oh and (obviously) Symantec products are not an option. Thanks!

I use Irfanview for most of my screenshots, especially in-game shots, as it allows to designate a folder and create my own hot-key to snap the images. I can keep snapping images, one after the other, and not have to stop to paste clipboard content into a paint program. The screenshot feature has a lot of options you can setup prior to starting the screenshots, including a variety of formats to use.
